@ASAP
Troubleshoot by inserting another simcard into iPhone and check whether you have the call failed again.

That's good to hear.
Sorry, if I don't follow your posts but may I know which firmware you are using and do you need to JB?

I am using OS 3.1.2. I check my Tether before JB and the option is there. thumbup.gif

have the same problem as u
celcom 50 user with unlimited data plan
it happen after 3.1.1 onwards....
3.1.2 did not fix this problem?

I've change my sim card yesterday but the problem persist! I've done several troubleshooting and I found that, whenever I'm in EDGE area, the call will drop but not 3G. I'm as supp of 1+5 and my principal with iPhone also had this problem using 3.0.1 FW

Im using the same plan like your's.
Sometimes its hard for people to call my iphone. Suddenly a SMS pop up saying i got a miss call. Even with full signal bar.
The celcom unlimited data is also getting on my nerves, I alway get the "server cannot be found" error while surfing.
Pls help. Do i need some settings for the data plan to make it work right?
I guess made the wrong decision to stick with Celcom with the iphone. Should have subscribed to the Maxis plan i guess. Sigh

Maybe Celcom and iphone is just bad combination overall

Can someone verify this?

I think it's a bad combination also. Done all the troubleshooting that I can but to no avail. Still trying though rclxub.gif
I've enquire about 64K and 256K simcard, apparently they stop producing 64K already and 256K they said most of the phone still not compatible yet. unsure.gif

There's several problem same like yours. This issue is on 3.0.X FW so they suggest to update to 3.1.2

Hello guys...

Just updated the 3.1.2 firmmware.

By the way, I would like to update ion my previuos findings updates. previously I posted up that when swith 3G to edge  and switch back to 3g, call cannot come unless  I turn off and on back the phone.
This was one of the issue address in 3.1.2 firmware update.

After i update I can received call but the battery consumption has become worse compare to previous 3.1,  Is this normal ?

Base on tweaks, check on brightness, notification, push email, 3g, edge to save abit on battery

A bit update about my drop calls who is using Celcom Postpaid.
Currently, the new batch of sim card that is using code HSUH at the back does not support for 3GS. You may request for 256K 3GWM card and will work perfectly!

Guys, after I took out my maxis sim card and put the digi one inside, it seems that I can't send or receive mms. The mms feature is like gone. I put maxis sim back and it's okay. Any ideas?

Seems that your MMS setting is wrong for DiGi or/and whenever you insert DiGi sim card, your MMS setting remains using Maxis setting. wink.gif

Hey guys...

I'm using Singtel unlocked iPhone 3G with 3.1.2 firmware & Celcom 3G postpaid... and DROP CALLs is really irritating for me.
I assumed, this problem happen on jailbreaked iPhone when 3G is off (running of EDGE or GPRS).

Is there any solution for this problem?
I'm expecting solution other than by switching 3G on just to make phone calls, its so tedious eventhough I'm using SBSettings as shortcut.
Is there any patch to overcome this problem?

HELP... I'm tired of this but I still love to use iPhone.  blush.gif

Thanx....  rclxub.gif

I'm not really sure for 3G as mine is 3GS using Celcom Postpaid! Having the same issue, 10secs call drop.
Troubleshooting with ON/OFF 3G, EDGE and GPRS but to no avail.
Last thing I checked was the Sim Card, I took friend of mine SIM which is 256K and the problem didn't occurred! (Mine was 128K)
Went to Celcom centre and told them I want 256K simcard but apparently they ain't release the sim just like that. I told them that I troubleshoot something which can solve my problem and thank god they willing to help me out.

Straight away change to 256K simcard and terus test out. No more 10 secs call drop notworthy.gif

Added on January 9, 2010, 1:09 amFYI, I troubleshoot both jailbreak & non-jailbreak iphone.
Meaning this is simcard compatibility problem with my current iphone.

No problemo. Just tell them that you've swap with friends sim which is 256K
They told me that 256K will be distribute to user with special case. Then they explain to me as well that certain phone with high tech only will get 256K.
LOL
