damn big forest gecko. about 6 inch long from head to tail and i think it is a female since i can see 2 eggs inside her abdomen.

inside the spoiler is not related at all to scorpions or any arachnid even. but it is an invert.

2lizard eating babies? What the hell is going on in the enclosure?
Did he house it with a lizard or something? shakehead.gif
From the pic u posted, they have all molted to 2instar, they will climb down from the mom soon
U can remove them after they all climb down from the mom or leave them with the mom, u decide...
Wont harm the babies as long as u removed them after they climb down from the mom
Anw, do explain the lizard.....

oh man.. he should hav wait till the babies climb down from the mother's back then you can remove them.. coz they already 2instar then there is a possibility they will make it through but having he removed them before it climb down on it own then that my friend is not good.
But thats just me. as for the opened top.. ask im to place something heavy on the tank.. but make sure there are gap so that the scorp can breath. Or get those garden wires and make a lid for ur self. I did that wen i started the hobby.

Kesian... Being kept as if it's a desert sp....
Change the substrate, get a enclosure with a secure lid and do more research
Ask him come here and read the 1st page or best, ask him sell the whole brood with the mom to someone who can take care them better
I just lost an entire brood of babies because i removed them from the mom before they climb down
A guy told me during their time on the mom's back, those babies receive nutrient transfer from the mom's back and separating them too early could lead to death or a weak brood
Can u possibly give me his contact like msn or anything so i can talk2 him

its not easy to find Emperors on sale.. yet alone a captive breed one. This is very valuable but at the same time playing with lives. Those babies deserve a better quality of live same with the mother. So if can give them a nice comfortable are for them to live in. Dont treat them as a thing. Pets are Pets, and we love them, so treat like one.. nod.gif

Swt...he is just 14 and I hardly seen any 14 that is mature enough to do his own research(even homework also copy frm fren tongue.gif ),but we can only advice him how to take good care of scorpions, the rest is up to him to decide.
Of course if he still insist in the way he is keeping, then he should let go of the babies for better homes.
So,will he takes in advices?
