i bought 373 + 380 at rm 1.7k last month, not bad compare with my previous sony sf360. at first compare with pioneer and onkyo, done some research found pioneer cannot configure to 3.1 channel, and onkyo is more expensive rm 2.6k, of course onkyo sound is better. i put inside my room use for movie, music and video game. even configure to 3.1 but still can feel the sound coming from behind. i think the only different between 363 and 373 is the usb port for ipod. for this kind of money, not much to complaint. next may be will upgrade to jamo speaker set.

hi.. I also bought the same set from Yamaha Year End Sales today... trying to set up the
speakers via yamaha YPAO... but after testing all the 5 speakers, the AV shut down automatically.

when I try on again, it says "check speakers" ,... i have checked...seems everything ok...

any idea, what is going on ?

Beginner package from Harvey Norman. Not sure good buy or not.
AV Recevier (RX-V373) + Speakers (NS-P20) = RM1650 after discount.

I not yet buy. Perhaps i shall pay a visit to the Yamaha Store at KJ.

Hi sifu2, i am just starting in avr and plan to recycle what i have ie. 5 units of my old speakers from a sony hifi.

Can i use these speakers for the RX-V373 ? Will there be something missing from the sound as usually there are 6 speakers rite ?

Hi, I'm thinking of getting this home theater package from a&l audio: http://www.alaudio.my/index/product-range/value-package.html.

Basically it's the Yamaha RX-V373 and PSB Alpha HT1 5.1 speakers for $3190. But with cables it could be an extra $400.

Is it a good beginner system or can I get a better system since I'm spending around $3500.

Thanks for replying. Will consider the RX-V473, but what extra feature should I be looking for? And are the speakers good enough? My room is not very big, maybe 8' x 12'.

I did planned to go jalan pasar and i told the sales rep about this. He commented that all the cables in jalan pasar are from China and is lower quality. Therefore I hope to get the sharing of experience from you guys (pioneer of Yamaha Home Theater System) if it is ok to get from jalan pasar.

Jalan pasar have many quality. Depend the price. For front speaker, I get it from some hifi shop. While the back speaker, I brought the cable from jalan pasar.

You need bigger antenna or higher gain antenna.
