Now every brands new models have 4k upscale feature. 4k display is no where to be seen. Furthermore, I don't think the current 1.4 HDMI spec have enough bandwidth to carry 4k display content. More of a marketing gimmicks I would say.
Unless you need airplay, else better get the current models which should be cheaper once the new models are in the market. More value for money if you can get some decent discount.

QUOTE(avantasia @ Jun 28 2012, 09:39 AM) Need to ask.... Why my rxv 1067 after 5 minutes play then suddenly auto switch off...on back the same thing happen again...over a year already my amp. Maybe some protection circuit in your Yamaha is causing the auto switch off? Have you try to disconnect all the connection to your receiver and just power up it alone?

My Yamaha receiver is capable of streaming Pandora but I am unable to listen because I am using public ip address from TM. My home PC is connected on the same LAN too. Any idea how do I make use of my home PC as proxy with US ip address for the Yamaha while my PC still goes through the local TM internet?

QUOTE(ajay @ Aug 15 2012, 05:47 PM) Guys... I am really confuse now. Got an offer for Yamaha 673 for RM2.2k and Marantz 5006 for RM2.5k. Whicch one is the best value for money? Really appreciate feedback. RX-V673 is the latest model while the Marantz 5006 is last year model. You may also want to look at Yamaha Aventage RX-A810 which is also the last year model. Should be about the same price as 673.

QUOTE(ajay @ Aug 16 2012, 12:24 AM) Is it good to buy 810 as compared with 673? Here is some discussion on avsforum: http://www.avforums.com/forums/av-amplifie...673-rxa810.htmlYou can compare their specs here: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visua...k_u/?mode=modelhttp://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visua...entage/rx-a810/If possible, do a side by side comparison on the features and amp.

QUOTE(cutypuppy @ Jan 3 2014, 12:13 PM) Not really, the subwoofer do produce bass even i set at Front = Large & it significant as well. I'm using floorstand NS-50F speaker, so when I'm play music, usally i off the subwoofer which it produce nice sound with solid bass. if I on the subwoofer, it produce softer bass due to the low bass that produce from the subwoofer, so it impact & produce lower hz bass even you set the front speaker to large, but depend on the cross you set, I'm connect to LFE & the AV cross at 120hz which this is the setting by YPAO, volumn set at half. You mentioned you enabled bass booster in the setting. I think that's why the bass is going to both your front and subwoofer eventhough the front is set to Large. Some people may like this double bass. Turn it off if you don't like it. You can also use Pure Direct mode for music listening, then you don't need to manually turn off the subwoofer whenever you listen to music. But I wonder why YPAO set the crossover so high for your front speakers.
