Anybody knows the price of V673 and where selling? Saw one at Desa LY but the salesman didn't know the price. I presumed they just got the stock, but that was about 3 weeks ago.

QUOTE(cmw_kwl_6923 @ Jul 29 2012, 10:34 AM) Went to Amcorp Mall yesterday but Accoustique was closed. Jalan-jalan a bit enjoyed the flea-market there. Incidentally saw A&L there. Spoke to Desmond and indeed the price quoted was very attractive. Will check out the Bangsar branch since nearer to my place. Don't know if my ears can appreciate any thing better than a V673! Getting it for the future proof thingy (4k scaling). I think it's value for money. |

QUOTE(htkia @ Aug 1 2012, 07:41 PM) If you go to Bangsar A&L branch, make sure you talk to CT Seong to give you a good price. I probably going to buy 473 from him soon. Went to A&L Bangsar on Saturday, and sure enough CT Seong gave a very good price which I couldn't resist. Unfortunately no stock! Felt like tayar poncet! |

QUOTE(avantasia @ Aug 16 2012, 04:25 PM) Yes you can. After you do that, you must have another HDMI cable to connect the "HDMI Out" (with ARC) from your amp to the HDMI In (with ARC) of your LCD TV (which should have been connected in the first place). If your TV or amp has no HDMI with ARC, then you need to connect a separate digital sound cable from TV to the amp so that TV shows can have sound through your amp to your speakers.Added on September 1, 2012, 8:37 pm QUOTE(rocktstrading @ Aug 22 2012, 11:50 AM) Sorry, did not ask about other models 'cos already made up my mind to get the V673 (4k upscaling for future proofing.) Already got the V673 from him when the stock arrived 2 weeks ago.Added on September 1, 2012, 8:50 pm QUOTE(esoo88 @ Aug 22 2012, 07:54 PM) Hi All Yamaha Sifu, You can adjust the impedence of the Yamaha AVR to the impedence of your Pioneer front speakers. You do it when you calibrate the speakers using Yamaha's YPAO. Every manufacturer would not recommend mixing their equipment with others due to marketing/financial reasons but logic says you can (ie you take care of the impedence setting). What if the speaker manufacturer does not manufacture AVR and vice versa? When you buy the AVR and speakers of the same brand, you probably get "better" sound (very subjective if not insignificant in reality) 'cos they were probably tested together during the development. I think all you need to get is an active subwoofer instead of the whole 5.1 speaker set. I plan to buy v473 but intend to reuse back my pioneer 5.1 speaker, a 5.1 compact DVD home theater system. At the back of the speaker, it mentioned not to connect these speakers to 3rd party AV other than the pioneer player, else it may cause malfunction or a fire. The speaker is 100watt and 4ohm impedance, the model is Pioneer S-DV2T. Questions: 1. If i connect v473 to this 5.1 speaker, will it cause damage to AV and speaker as pioneer claimed? 2. I notice the pioneer subwoofer doesn't have dedicated power unlike NSP20, does this mean it will be under power when I connect to v473? This post has been edited by kasimura: Sep 1 2012, 08:50 PM |
