i don't like wires for surround system. so i opt for sound bar.
then i buy the most expensive sound bar without knowing anything about wall bouncing.

did i make a wrong decision?

Well basically without the so called bouncing your sound bar is just like 2.1 sound. You can't get the surround sound effect. Theoretically the angle of the wall is also important for sound bar to work as per the design. I can't comment much as I don't own any sound bar before. Also what is your room size ?

My living room is 1000sqft of open space....

congrats on your 4300....what you can do is buy some big and tall ornaments and put it behind your sofa so the sound can bounce off it....

ok, will consider your idea.
