I just bought the Samsung LA40B530 and paid extra to extend the warranty from 2 to 5 years. At least that what the sales assistant @ Queensbay Jusco told me again and again. Jusco was having a good promotion last weekend so i decided to go for it (free dvd + camera + RM175 worth of vouchers)
Now when i registered the warranty online, it states 12 months! And when i look at the receipt, the salesrep ticked the 1+2 extension box!! But i paid 8% on the purchase price for additional 3 years on top of the 2 years.
Did i get conned by Jusco or what? Anybody familiar with Samsung/Jusco warranty?
There's 2 parts to the warranty, one from Samsung and the extended portion from Jusco. Now when i registered the warranty online, it states 12 months! So first you have to clarify how long Samsung is giving, 12 or 24 months? Then Jusco would cover the rest until 5 years. As for what is ticked in the receipt, better you go back to Jusco and clarify with the sales rep.
