I just bought the Samsung LA40B530 and paid extra to extend the warranty from 2 to 5 years. At least that what the sales assistant @ Queensbay Jusco told me again and again. Jusco was having a good promotion last weekend so i decided to go for it (free dvd + camera + RM175 worth of vouchers)
Now when i registered the warranty online, it states 12 months! And when i look at the receipt, the salesrep ticked the 1+2 extension box!! But i paid 8% on the purchase price for additional 3 years on top of the 2 years.
Did i get conned by Jusco or what? Anybody familiar with Samsung/Jusco warranty?

the additional warranty is by JUSCO.. you need to keep the receipt, and bring back to JUSCO if you want to claim warranty after the 12th month

So its best to keep it in a file....or simply stick the receipt to the of the rear of the TV...if missing than problem...

There's 2 parts to the warranty, one from Samsung and the extended portion from Jusco.

So first you have to clarify how long Samsung is giving, 12 or 24 months? Then Jusco would cover the rest until 5 years. As for what is ticked in the receipt, better you go back to Jusco and clarify with the sales rep.

Only LED TV is 2 years during the Raya Promotoion. The rest of the LCD TVs are under 1 year warranty by Samsung.

Relax bro...places like Jusco are not like typical electrical shops, I'm sure there is a good explanation.

Sometimes the warranty it not with Samsung, maybe with a Insurance Company, whatever it is stay cool.

I asked the Samsung promoter at Best Denki (KLCC) and Sen Heng (Sri Rampai, KL) both sayz Samsung extended the 2-years warranty offer for LED TV to LCD TV as well. Better call Samsung helpline 1800889999.

Anyway, anyone know how to know whether an LCD TV is a display unit or not. Anyway to know the life span?
I got a really good offer for Samsung LA32B530 (RM1899), the promoter sayz it is a new unit.

Thanks.
