hi, my girlfriend has a waja and she open the APM without telling me. So, the liquid came out. It was not a lot and was a bit. And I told her to check the coolant. I am scared that the coolant is empty. If it is empty, the the car might overheat. I think she open the cap when the car is not completely cold. So, I want to ask, where is the coolant located? Its the old waja, not the campro type. She will need to buy new coolant and refuel rite, if its empty. Water can last a while only. If use for long time, future will have problem, and instead, might get rust. So, I want to know:
a) Where is the coolant b) How much does it cost
And anyone experience this before? I am sorry, cox i am really not familiar with Proton cars. So, please help... Thankx

QUOTE(wch5274 @ Dec 2 2009, 02:55 AM) u r not familiar with proton car or with car.. i think u talk about radiator which most car have same feature... for coolant... u can pour it at radiator itself or the radiator reservoir (normally like white bottle plastic)... there are level that u must add (at white bottle plastic) so radiator always have enough water + coolant.. U not getting me. If the car is hot, and if open radiator, the liquid will come out. And the liquid is from the reservoir. So, if the coolant already dried up, I still need to add water and coolant. Means I buy the coolant from shop and add with water in the tank. Of course, just add water without coolant oso can. But, it might get rust and need to change the whole thing... I already inspect the car. Its no prob at all. I think my girlfriend open the APM when its warm. So, just spill a bit and not a lot. Haha, I ask for fun. Just to conform nways. God knows.. I am just scared this proton cars a bit weird. Just precaution. Hehe. Thankx

QUOTE(ckk125 @ Dec 2 2009, 11:16 PM) hi all,i own a 2001 waja. regarding the radiator, i have a minor problem..i filled up the water in the reservoir until slightly more than half of the low and high level.(when engine cold, havent start) Then i drove to kelantan(using gerik-jeli road) then when reach titiwangsa rest house, the coolant is overflowing from the top of the reservoir(the white bottle) i let it be and now, the water level is just slightly above the low level in the reservoir. what is the problem? quite worried as i have to drive back during CNY and to have this problem is quite worrying as the mountain road is very very steep(always 5krpm). Recently just flushed it. any advice will b deeply appreciated. fill up with just normal water? no coolant?
