For full flush for AT, we will need 7 liters of ATF? What ATF is recommended? If brakes need to be depressed really deep to stop is it just the brakepads or can it be something else? |

QUOTE(chipotato @ Oct 15 2009, 12:33 AM) i have change new tyres and do alignment.. the mechanic told me my chamber position at right front wheel out of spec range, need to change the screw chamber that cost me rm45 for that things.. i just wonder why our stock front wheel car did not come with that kind of screw.. i think its so expansive for that screw la... is it correct we must change the screw chamber to do alignment coz our stock screw cannot be adjusted. Yeah, I kena also.. ask to change to camber nuts rm 90 already.. damn pain.. But interestingly alignment is good after the work. Though my mechanic friend tells me it is actually kinda useless and proper alignment can be done without a change of camber nut.. Anyone can confirm what the nut actually does? |

My brother was following me home yesterday.
He is driving his Peugeot 308. I am in my 03' 4G18 Auto Waja. both fully stock. Acceleration from standstill-80kmh he was right behind - but after 100kmh I started pulling away slightly but he caught up again.. performance wise I think the 308 will win hands down as he was not driving as hard. But when it came to highspeed corner, the 308 being a heavier car and softer suspension has lots of problem keeping up, especially if there are irregularity on the road. Slow tight corners, there are no difference. All in all, I can confidently say that the Waja has the best handling in its price range:) (note i didnt say category or segment! though Im sure it would be one of the better handling cars in its segment too) just my sharing:) |

QUOTE(R.Y.D.E.C.K @ Oct 16 2009, 03:41 PM) im totally agree wif u.. Yea, the car has its share of problems but with proper maintenance and care its pretty decent actually. i cannot accept ppl talk bad about waja...ppl tht never own 1..but talk like they use it b4... small issues are annoying but can be fixed. |

The oil filter is accessible from below the car. Go under your car, the right front side, I dont know how to explain but just look around and you will see the oil filter "can" there..

major service this saturday.. 118k km already.. last service 113k km
Here are the list of stuff I will be doing: Flush ATF Change Engine Oil(semi syn 10w-40) Oil filter, Air filter Brake pad (front) - Bendix Metal King Balancing and alignment - if got time Gasket cover maybe change the belts( bird sound ) Anything else I missed? I also will be checking my brake calipers, I think it is jammed, cos occasionally when I brake, it will have a very very rough metal grinding sound(damn scary).. also, is there a aircon filter? if so does anyone know where is it? Oh, and I will finally be fixing the VS we bulked hopefully all is good la.. |

nope.. PESC is mostly cut throat.. before I bought my car from my brother, we used to do all the servicing at mutiara damansara SC, the price is really crazy, I can show you the receipt man..
They charge for things you dont need without telling you(like x-1r "engine treatment") and every small stuff.. then workmanship also rm90 or rm 120.. highest I saw is rm 150.. so even small service is already 200-300 and major service is 400 -500.. |
