Last time i bought 1 item from ebay using USPS International Mail w/o tracking number but after 2 months i complaint that i din received it and luckily seller refunded my money back..I believed that my stuff 'sangkut' at Kastam..!!
And last week i bought from ebay again using USPS First Class Mail International postage + Insurance w/o tracking no. and the item was sent on 23/9.
So for how long i shall wait that the item to reach at my door step..?? Issit 7-14 days..?? If more than that, can i check at USPS KL or Kastam w/o tracking no.?? If not, how to trace my item..?? HELP ME..
Thanks
Firstly, if your stuff got held at customs they will issue you a letter stating about it...telling you whether to pick up your stuff or appoint someone else to it for you (can appoint pos malaysia to act as your agent). If you do not receive any letter then it's not held with the customs and most probably your item is lost before reaching Malaysia.
Shipping without tracking is very risky as if the parcel is lost you can't do anything about it. UPSP international shipping is normal shipping and from my experience a parcel can take up to 4-5 weeks to arrive in Malaysia...maybe more.
If you use Priority International shipping...it's a bit faster which can be 2-3 weeks. Express shipping and will be fastest, got tracking and insurance but so much expensive. For me I usually insist on using Priority shipping since it's a bit better than First Class shipping. With international shipping you need to be patient and if you're not the patient type or afraid your parcel can get lost then you should opt for express shipping instead which is most secure but expensive. You cannot check with UPSP as shipping without tracking if you're using normal shipping and without tracking even the post office cannot do anything so no point in asking the customs. Anyhow USA shipping is very very expensive and slow compared to using UK delivery service. Normal UK shipping would take just 1-2 weeks for a parcel to arrive
