Lately i bought something from US and opt for USPS express international shipping due to the support told me that it is only international service provided tracking number.

Is this true?

I would like to check with other seller(s) or buyer(s) who frequently deal with us shipment regarding this matter.

Also, how long does it take to reach Malaysia for this service?

how abt priority international shipping? Is this similiar to our registered mail service? so far the risk of lost parcel high? wana opt for this option as the express is really pricey sad.gif

i think priority mail is something like pos express which you buy the envelope or mail boxes from the post office with up to a certain amount of insurance.

priority is different from registered mail. USPS do have registered mail like what pos malaysia have. though registered mail is available as an option for international delivery but the tracking number is useful within US only cos you can't trace that tracking number at pos malaysia website.

from my experience, pos malaysia seemed reliable so far, unless some postman playing hanky-panky. i almost lost one parcel sent within US states using media mail which normally reached within 7-10 days but it took me more than a month to deliver from new jersey to california shakehead.gif
but overall the USPS staffs are very helpful and efficient thumbup.gif

most of the time, i just opt for normal post and it usually takes 2-3 weeks to reach our shore.

too bad you are not using registered mail, in the future its advisable to use registered mail as it is traceable and insured. Lets hope that your parcel arrives in one piece. Normally parcel from US will reach malaysia around 2-3 weeks time.

hi all.. i have experienced the service for the international parcel using registered parcel which non trackable.

it took more than 1 month from us to msia and i tot the parcel missing too hence i request for refund from the us ebay seller.

and some time like after another month got the parcel. so i guess it mostly is our local courier problem.

Well...sometimes international parcel just do manage to get lost and end up at some other country by mistake. So you can't say it's mostly our local post office problem. I usually order stuff directly from amazon or ebay. There was one time I did not receive my parcel after waiting for 1 month+ and 4 months later it finally arrived at my doorstep safe and sound whistling.gif

UK air mail delivery usually takes 1-2 weeks and is much faster in reaching Malaysia than US shipping. Since our Pos Malaysia have some sort of MoU with the UK postal delivery service it is easier for Pos Malaysia to find our what happen to your parcel (if you haven't receive your parcel yet) by making a formal inquiry to them. This does not apply to USA shipping as I was told that Pos Malaysia does not have an MoU with the USA shipping service. I wonder why? hmm.gif
