Hello everyone & good day.

I've question regarding this Viera Link thingy. You see, i own Panasonic TX-32LX800M HDTV model with this function.

I'm interested in some of the Pioneer AV receiver but i'm not sure which model to choose from since i have no idea whether it's compatible with viera link or not.

And besides Pioneer what other model/brand of AV receiver that can be used with viera link?

Any help?

Viera is Panasonic's proprietary, how could it work with other brands?

No, I think you should still broaden yr search for yr AVR regardless of brand. Its just an additional remote!

Which Onkyo model would you recommend? I need one with at least 2 optical input, 2 component input, 1 HDMI input & 2 AV audio input. My budget is around....uh, RM500.

Quite an impossible figure, Rm500..

If so, you better be looking for 2nd stuff.....try cashconverters, got lots of stuff there from old to not so new models...but I doubt you will get those specs for RM500 even if 2nd hand.

With RM1000 is a better bet.

My Panny BD60 will automatically switch on my Sony LCD and switch to the correct HDMI input. If LCD already on and I'm watching normal TV channel, it will automatically switch to HDMI input. Very convenient.

Isnt that due to the player itself and nothing to do with the Viera link thingy? Viera link means you can also access functions of the BDP with the TV remote. Correct ah?

Well when I turn off Viera Link function on the BDP, it won't turn on LCD automatically anymore.
