I have set 5k budget for tv. Saw Philips 42" LCD Full HD at 3399. but i dun mind to to spend up to 5k for a bigger TV. Any suggestion guys?

You have first to decide whether you want a plasma or LCD, HD or FHD.

Actually, I'm not a pro on this as I'm a new buyer. I will purely use on Astro (EPL), DVD (movies), RMVB files and PS3 (in future).

My sofa to the tv will be about 7-9ft away.

Just checked 50X Pana from Jintex website...it's 4680 now.... worth it? Seems like it's not FullHD, is it?

since u dont mind to upgrade from rm3.5k until rm5k,then add in rm500 for panasonic FULLHD plasma 50inch S10,at rm5.5k......better still,all in one.

err....that's my maximum budget already..... can't go more.... =) .... unless there is any shop which is willing to sell me at 5k....

Yeah, the Pana X Series is not FHD, just HD, though it will fulfill your current needs.

Or you can get the smaller 42"S but you get a BD Player Free, well within your budget and you can enjoy FullHD as well
