You can either get a external HDD or a lengthy CAT5E cable to make the transfer rather than taking the HDD in and out. Do ensure that the DViCO is power down before removing the HDD and same goes on PC.

QUOTE(hdwarexpert @ Nov 14 2009, 10:16 AM) It is much better solution to multi HDD users. I will get one NAs Etrayz later when available. All my HDD already full in my PC. Need to get one during coming PC Fair. Hope some bargain deal available. Be prepared to spend a little bit more on a decent NAS. I have regretted being a genuine pig trying out a D-Link and Linksys NAS earlier. Bought those due to bargain price and ignoring the performance factor. I am happy with Synology 207+ and 209+II now. Next in line witll be QNAP range of NASes. |

D-Link DNS323 is kinda slow performer as the bandwidth throughput was horrendous especially multiple device sharing the same source.

Try to stay away from Seagate and Samsung drives. Go with WD or Hitachi to be on safe side.

Have anyone tested the latest firmware 1.9.3. The performance is quite impressive though and YouTube is now working. http://www.hdpop.cn/6600/tvix_6600_1.9.3.zip
1. an increase of network video pps, Thunder, gougou interface. 2. can increase the directory, and modify the file name, does not support the Chinese language. Web Interactive upgrades, web server interface for browsing and UI changes. 3. SONY KDL-Z55 series of TV can not save settings problem has been resolved |

Here you go...
http://www.tvix.co.kr/ENG/faq/default.aspx...erial=38&id=379 Even if the TViX accidentally turns off during the firmware upgrade, the safe mode will enable the TViX to be re-upgraded. Please follow the steps below: 1) Connect the TViX to your PC with a USB and then turn it on. 2) Copy the latest firmware files into the root of the TVIX hard drive or USB memory device 3) The Safe upgrade will check the firmware file of internal HDD in advance and then external USB host. 4) Press and hold the MENU button on the top panel and turn on the TViX by using power button. 5) The VFD will show the seeking FW, such as SEEK FW. 6) Press OK on the control panel to start upgrading. 7) The VFD will show UPG when the new firmware upgrade is in process. 8) The TViX will automatically reboot after the upgrade has been successfully finished. |
