Hmm how about a HTPC with a Radeon 47xx series card? That would solve the HD audio part right? Then again, we're talking about media players here :-)
I guess the thing with these Dune players is the difficulty in obtaining them? Otherwise there should be hordes of owners already right?

I was just wondering. Does anyone of u 6500 owners also happen to have an A.C Ryan POHD?
I bought a POHD a few days ago and have been playing around with it. Now, I don't know if I'm imagining things, but I find that the PQ from the 6500 is always "richer" than the POHD. Put it simply, its always more pleasing on the 6500.
Aside from being able to play RMVB files, Internet Radio, and the super fast boot time, I don't see why the POHD is superior even though the 6500 is a 2 year old product.

Don't know about BSISO but I tried to play a Dark Knight BDMV with the POHD and I have to select the individual files to play it while the 6500 plays the movie the moment I select the Dark Knight folder. Also, for whatever reasons, I the POHD doesn't play a ripped DVD too. Again I have to select the individual files and when I selected one that displays the DVD menu, I can't make any selections..duh!

Well, the 6600 does have a front digital display that actually looks pretty neat ;-)
Ok, will rip my Andrea Bocelli DVD tonight again into ISO format and see how it goes. Thx for the tip!

Did u install Netshare on your PC? My 6500a is the only player that I have that has zero problems streaming 1080p mkvs. Second is WD TV LIVE. The HDX-BD1 on the other hand, is totally hopeless. QUOTE(lightning69 @ Mar 15 2010, 12:13 PM) ow much is the 660A selling now. I am starting to like the Dvico 6500A but this player got lots of problem with streaming mkv from PC and doen't recognise external subtitles. Any one can help to get external sub like srt to be recognise by 6500A?

The way I see it, there's no perfect media player to meet everyones demand. That's why I have 3 with HDX being the most useless one now. Lol. I still think a HTPC is the most versatile solution. So counting my HTPC, I have 4 media players. LOL, I must be going nuts v

Subtitles are never important to me unless I'm watching a chinese movie and they're speaking mandarin. That's why I say different people have different needs. For me, as long as it plays mkvs "properly" with auto frame-rate select, I'm happy.
