Tube's price drop so fast..huhu   

I tried pushing the size bigger but it won't play. Also the bitrate had to be toned down, to around 1000kbps or under.

However that's not the point. Even with all that toning down, the quality is actually very similar to an MPEG4 encoding, but at half the size on the memory card. The phone doesn't heat up as much either because the low bit rate doesn't require much processing power.

Try different phone with the same charger
Or different charger with your phone.

i having problem with my 5800, when ever i try to go into the themes page, as soon as i enter.. it just restart itself.. i am using latest firmware... having this problem with u old and new firmware.. any1 can help?

the phone is still new i dont have any other themes on it...

OMG, H.264 have trouble playing on the tube if it's larger than 320x240. I got it to play, but the video looks all weird and demented.

Demented as in, the video is zig-zaggy, the display change won't do anything, zoom, natural, original. Nothing, just some zig-zagging images. It was 368x208, a preset in the SUPER video converter and it is a widescreen resolution(16:9)
I got it to play but that's what happened.

And just so happens, I discovered why. H.264 on the Tube only goes up to QVGA resolution. Although can stretch it a bit higher, it won't do any good if it goes too high.

Successfully played 320x176, no hickups, and it actually doesn't look that bad. Not the DVD quality it used to be but for most people, it's not bad at all.

Yeah, tried level 2.1 and it won't play at all, not even sound.

I'm using SUPER. I am encoding at Level 2.
There's level 5, but doubt the Tube can handle Blu Ray quality. 

So I came to a conclusion for H.264.

Level 2, 352x208, ~960kbps is the most that the Tube can handle. 768 is recommended. AT that bit rate, the quality is identical to that of an identical sized video at ~1400kbps.

Summary: 352x208, 768kbps(850kbps the Tube says), 380MB

Bit rate: Can't get a straightforward answer from my player(VLC) but I'm guessing an average of ~2600+kbps. At some point in the video it has gone over 4000kbps.

This was rushed so probably someone can get a better combo.

At the moment it's 352x208, Level 2, 768kbps.
I use SUPER. I tried Handbrake but it seems to be a tad bit slower than SUPER.
However Handbrake seems to be more straightforward and user friendlier.

Page 88 has the setting for Xvid made by Chyan. Try that. 50% compression over the original file and still looks good.

Yeah, that cutting video feature is one advantage that I'd like. Maybe for other encoding I'll use that
