still digesting sweat.gif

The Proposed Equity Participation will result in a gain of approximately RM43 million to Bursa based on the audited financial statements as at 31 December 2008. At the Bursa Group level, the Proposed Equity Participation is expected to result in a gain of approximately RM44 million based on the audited consolidated financial statements as at 31 December 2008. As such, the consolidated EPS of Bursa is expected to increase by approximately 8 sen as a result of the Proposed Equity Participation.

However, the above is shown solely for illustration purposes only based on the average closing price of CME Group Shares for the 10 trading days prior to 26 November 2008 (being the cut-off date for pricing purposes as agreed between the parties) of USD193.96 per share. The actual effect, which will be computed upon completion of the Proposed Equity Participation, may differ from the above.

I can roughly tell you, but I'm no pro. Ask Debbie. Where are you debbie?  icon_question.gif

As what debbie told me, RM3500 per contract!

The index is related to KLCI IINM.

Every point whether it goes up or down, 1pt = RM50.

If you short it and the index goes down south you are in profit and vice versa.

MALAYSIA ON FTSE'S WATCH LIST TO BE CONSIDERED ADVANCED EMERGING STATUS ON FTSE GLOBAL EQUITY INDEX

FTSE today announced that it had added Malaysia on the country Watch List for its FTSE Global Equity Index Series: Advanced Emerging. According to FTSE, adding a market to the Watch List is the first signal to the international investment community that FTSE is considering a change of status for a market within its indices. Malaysia will be on this Watch List for the next one year to enable the index provider to review the market against FTSE's quality of markets criteria for Advanced Emerging status. Malaysia is currently a Secondary Emerging market.

Dato' Yusli Mohamed Yusoff, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia Berhad said that the Exchange, together with key capital market stakeholders had, for many years, taken concerted joint efforts to build towards an efficient, liberal and liquid capital market.

"Over the years, we have tirelessly engaged with the international investor community, rating agencies and index providers such as FTSE on our efforts to improve our capital market. That is why, this acknowledgement is rewarding as it is indeed a reflection of the effort Malaysia and all our stakeholders have taken in ensuring that we move towards achieving a developed equities market. This good news is certainly a positive incentive for us to accelerate our capital market development initiatives to ensure that we indeed attain the Advanced Emerging status within the next twelve months."

take from the blog tongue.gif

The proposed listing will see TA Global issuing 4.8bn shares (50 sen). If you are thinking of subscribing its IPO, well forget it, there is no public portion. The only way you can get a piece of the action is to buy and hold TAE shares. TAE shareholders will receive 3 TAE shares and 3 ICPS for every 5 TAE shares held. To make it clearer, if you have 10,000 TAE, which will cost you around RM14,000 you will get 6,000 TA Global shares and 6,000 TA Global ICPS. Hence its really like an IPO if you buy TAE now.

Of course the attraction is at what levels TA Global will list. Hwang-DBS accords a fair value of RM2.10 on TAE, which to me is a bit conservative. I expect TA Global to perform very well upon listing. The projected market cap for TA Global may be around RM2.4bn - RM2.6bn, making it number 5 behind SP Setia (RM4.18bn), UEM Land (RM3.81bn), KLCC Property (RM3.3bn) and IGB (RM2.64bn). In fact I think TA Global will be number 4 once it gets listed as it should easily shove aside IGB.
