QUOTE(kimhoong @ Sep 16 2009, 02:47 AM) a little bit slow actually. indeed, the damage has been done but now is his chance to prove the world his abilities.i wanna see him lead us to a glorious moment this season.Like one said here, the damage is already done - no thanks to the media and the rival clubs to glamorizes our wrongdoings but never do the same when the appeal shows that Eduardo should NOT label with the shameful diver tag. QUOTE(Thumpy Ick @ Sep 16 2009, 03:14 AM) ooh almond dropped for the next game? interesting move, tbh that OG of him, cant be avoided. those things happen. but putting aside that moment, he's been decent at best. i didnt replace almunia with sebastian frey in my game for nothing this is not a football manager game.lol.you can buy anyone you want if you have the money but in reality, money always been a problem for us.we can only manage to buy cheap keepers.i bet akinfeev won't come cheap.with all the hype around him,he's probably requires at least 10m pounds for his service.almunia dropped.now who will be picked?we had a torrid time with fabianski in the post and now fabianski's not even in the bench.who do we have?mannone?the other polish guy?omg.it's up to the defenders now to perform 200% in next game. |

i've noticed almunia's problem since the start of the season.and even in preseason.remember the cheap goal he conceded in the first preseason game?and how he hesitates to come out in portsmouth game.and diaby's own goal at manchester.he can do better than that but he failed.i guess he's been too complacent for being arsenal's no 1 without any real competitor out there.

if we're going to get a 2nd goalkeeper then we should aim at those who are not playing in UEFA competition.akinfeev and boruc have played.i don't want another arshavin's case this time.carlos kameni maybe.or ochoa.i watched a glimpse of him during gold cup's final and he is very good in reality.

QUOTE(necrox77 @ Sep 16 2009, 12:52 PM) guilermo ochoa? keeper for mexico? vela would have another mexico partner... but worried if the keeper also bring H1N1.. yup.and i was quite sad that dos santos went to spurs instead of us for cheap.i still think we need a world class keeper bcoz most of the match ref always choose side to the team against us. QUOTE(ivanau88 @ Sep 16 2009, 12:56 PM) now is like playing Football manager 2009. I always get Ochoa and Akinfeev. They both are very good keeper in the game. lol we're talking bout reality now.hehe |

QUOTE(toshio14 @ Sep 17 2009, 12:40 PM) their 1st goal is an example of what pissed me the most about this Arsenal. 2 avoidable mistakes that cost us a goal it seems to me that fabregas who's the one to blame.in ordinary arsenal game,he could have dealt with eduardo's back pass.that pass was easy but he couldn't deal with it and the std liege's player punished him.1. Vito should have called out to Alex Song to let him know that he had the ball covered. instead, we conceded unnecessary corner kick which led to their goal. disclaimer : since Alex Song cleared the ball for corner, i'm assuming Vito did not call for it as the defensive player should always listen to their GK instruction when defending an attack. unless your name is Abou Diaby that is..haha 2. what the hell did Dudu was thinking? trying to be fancy eh? how about trying that kind of things nearer to their penalty area, not ours we always seems to make life hard to ourselves, and it's not something new either. but at the very least the team must tried to bring the number of avoidable mistakes to the minimum. on the other hand, was Gael really that bad? this is getting worrying.our best fullbacks and captain were not up to our standard lately.i hope easy fixture in upcoming matches will settle them down. |

QUOTE(toshio14 @ Sep 17 2009, 01:03 PM) sickx, i may be wrong here since i did not watched any replay of their 1st goal but IINM Dudu flick went straight to the Liege's 1st goalscorer. i thought there's nothing much Cesc can do about it i dunno.my perception might be wrong though.eduardo and fabregas went up.cesc should have known that eduardo will pass to him.he mistimed his run and let the ball go to the liege's player.the commentator said that mannone still haven't got the touch for the ball during the first goal.i think the players gave him too much security.song put the ball out of play eventhough mannone was ready to get the ball.and gallas tackle that leads to the 2nd goal.did mannone really have a good save last nite? |

QUOTE(he-sham @ Sep 17 2009, 01:19 PM) the answer is no.... none?it's either the liege's players thought that they had won the game or our defenders were really great after that.lolhe had nothing to do after the 2 goals... just some routine ball collecting & cross catching... but his kicking were awesome last nite....he kicked from his penalty box & the ball reach to opposition penalty box.... QUOTE(sakaito @ Sep 17 2009, 01:22 PM) yeah.. mannone kick could prove vital.. remember reina? he assisted some goals to Torres and Gerrard in counter attacks. just pray that his kick won't reach diaby. |

QUOTE(sakaito @ Sep 20 2009, 01:16 AM) pls understand why cesc wasn't at his best. he was operating as Denilson would've operated. Covering the back line with Song. So, i think he wasn't all that bad.. just solid performance. look at how he celebrate his goal..poor him..just jog behind the post and to his mates..i do agree that Cesc looks tired.
