No idea how good or bad this fella is, but the issue is will Ajax let go of their two CBs within one single season? From the number of personnel available, we'll probably need to sell someone before we can add more CBs - likely to be Sendy who has a higher market value than Silvestre.

just read the arsenal email. someone sent them an opinion. they said vermaelen would be the perfect replacement for song as a holding midfielder. field another CB (silvestre? Senderos?) and play Vermaelen slightly upfront with the freedom that he enjoys within the midfield area.

Sounds like a bloody good idea. what are your thoughts guys?

u know.. i have the sinking feeling that this will happen. Knowing AW, he'll do it. Afterall, Song was deputizing for Toure/Gallas when they're absent. So, Senderos might have a chance yet.
