I'll start with my recent facepalm moment

Was playing Resident Evil 5, in the missile factory level
I reach outside a room with a side window, with 2 door (front door, and side door)
I didn't open the front door, but went to the side window and have a peek inside, just in case there's enemies inside

true, there's 3, 4 faggots waiting behind the main door waiting to ambush me if I open the main door, and they didn't notice me at the side window

I laugh out loud, equip my hand grenade, aim at them, and threw the grenade. (Big grin on my face brows.gif )

*bing* the grenade bounce off the window glass, bounce to my feet ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

"OH SH1T!!!" tried to run away but too late... BOOOM!! cry.gif cry.gif

plug my megadrive's power adaptor into my cousin's micro genius, as I forgot to take his power adapter when borrowing it.
turn on the power, POP!!! burned the power supply unit of the micro genius, smokes coming out ohmy.gif

cost me RM80 to fix it at a con shop doh.gif

I was playing Golden Axe: Beast Rider chapter 1. Fighting all the enemies using skill that was shown.
Fight punya fight, I manage to defeat the demons.

Run along the way and reach the dragon, my main ride.
Manage to smash 1 crate of gold and missed the other 3. doh.gif

Then off to the offering ceremony (or was it sacrifice ceremony, either one).
By the time i reach there with my dragon, everyone is dead and the fighting with the demons began.

After hacking away the demons, dunno what to do. Instead of moving forward, to the next gate, with me and my "brilliant" idea, the dragon and I went up to the end of the near and jump into the valley for shortcuts. doh.gif doh.gif

Then, GAME OVER and restart again but this time without the dragon.. cry.gif

same case, but mine is in PS1 era, too exciting and the whole controller plug came out from the console doh.gif lucky the console is on the floor.

another one is while playing FF8, piloting the garden flying around the lake (forget which level) to find a place, search for a whole night only know that the place the mission wanted is nearby where i started doh.gif

yeah i had a similar problem with FF8... i left balamb garder to kill Ifreet but i couldnt find him.. the island was small but i went roundand round to look for him at the next town.. mmg la tak jumpa apalah..

Had a moment when Andrea Pirlo bloody misses on a volley at the right side in the penalty box. It was 86th minute and the game was leveled at 1-1 a piece.

Would've won 2-1 against my friend. Andrea Pirlo on point blank shot? Definitely facepalm for wasting a 3 pointer walk away.

Playing fatal frame 2 in a dark room.. 2 friends of mine went out without telling me..

Peep through the door in the game, suddenly about 2 seconds an eyeball appeared + music + s.effect...

was terrified, accidentally pulled the controller resulting in my ps2 crashing down on the floor...

the effect of it all : ran up stair and stone-cold-stunner my 2 friends, did not turn the ps2 and tv off..

next day got tombstoned by my mom for wasting electricity.. >.< damnnnnnn~

i have similiar experience with fatal frame 4, happened last night when i was home alone playing it.

was at early stage of the game when the girl i controlled was picking up an item from the floor then suddenly got this hand come out from below a table and grab her hand.

got so shocked i turned off the console

i should have played muramasa as planned.. damn

Another of my facepalm moments is when I played Prototype.

I was playing the Final Mission for Mission Nine: Altered World.

After sabotaging the sensors and let McMullen escape. The HIVE gone haywire and spitting out golden orbs and military bazooka aiming and shooting at me. sweat.gif

The hunters is also hot on my heels and so is the Strike Force shocking.gif. Running and jumping as fast as I can but ends up being blown up by one of the Strike Force heli. Made a mistake for stopping to pick up the car and throw at it. laugh.gif

was in the MAG beta this morning, manning the turret on one of the tanks with a team mate driving it.

he went all over the place,got stuck on terrain,etc and eventually came to a bridge and got off the tank.there were some enemies on the opposite side of the bridge,and so he tried to pick off by crawling on the floor to get better shots.

i switched positions to the driving seat,drove the tank towards the bridge,lost control and ended up driving over the same fella,killing him instantly sweat.gif doh.gif

that is hardcore man, i use to do the same thing once. i play this ps1 game called Vandal Hearts, only let the main character to level up, and let the other party members to carry herbs to heal the main character, this sort of gives them a lot of exp pts. and yes, i did this like 12 yrs ago.hehe

had somewhat similar exp with battle field.. some unknown player joined our team, then after my team and i got killed we were walking back to the last place we died.. so this dude came with a convoy transport truck n honk.. all of us entered the truck, thinking 'wow, cool dude'...

now for the face palm moment.. the truck fell into the river while crossing the first bridge.. doh.gif

I was 10 years old back then, playing FFVII.

just got the buggy, didn't read the instructions, so didn't know it could cross shallow waters.

spent every day for a few weeks figuring out where to go next and leveled Cloud, Barret and Red XIII to level 50+ before accidentally moving to shallow water and found out the buggy could go through doh.gif

the rest of the game was a breeze laugh.gif

There is one more..I was playing FF8, running around, fighting monsters, getting more experience to level up and then at one part of the game in disc 3, Squall's leveling up stopped even before meeting up Ultimecia and the experience point is much lower than it was suppose to be. Also, the rest of the character level and experience is higher than him shocking.gif doh.gif

Last time I play FF7 during form 3.During disc 1 after Kalm and wanna go crossing the desert with a big giant snake shadow lurking under it, I thought we need to fight that snake in order to get across it.Since winning that snake is no-no unless you level up, I levelled all my character like crazy and managed to defeated it in my 100th attemp.But after reaching disc 3 of the game now I realized that you can simply used the chocobo just to cross the desert for 100 gil.Coz at that time I didnt know that you need to throw the grass at the chocobo in order to catch it.Now each time when I played again FF7 I alway facepalmed myself when I see that desert near the chocobo stable..

I also very frustrated crossing the swamp last time, not because I didn't know how to catch, but I kiasu don't want to waste the grass laugh.gif

The power went out while saving a game, duh! -and the data is corrupted

This happens when I was using my ps2 back at my kampung. The TNB was still shitty at that time (2002). Can't remember what game I was playing though.

Playing Mass Effect:
Was cursing how come doesn't have a world map on the HUD when running around in new world, and cursing the small little radar with limited range while driving the Mako, roaming aimlessly around to explore and search for next place to trigger new objective.

After clocking almost 20 hours of game play, press start, went into the menu, Eh? there's the big word MAP there doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Wanna collect the flag, so jump down into the canal, thinking to swim to the boat, then the next thing I see is Altair screaming for help, then Game Over doh.gif

Zaman PS1: FF 8.

If you remember the whole Junction system with the GF (Guardian Force). Suppose to link the GF to your characters to get powerful stats.
...Yeah I didnt know about it.

Main belasah all the way to the end of the game with base stats! My friend saw me play at my house and laugh his butt off. Patutlah every boss fight susah nak mampus.

Got owned by some SMALL GRUNT in Halo 3: ODST in the very first mission of the game.

Running around the whole area in about 10 minutes shooting them but due to my incompetence with analog stick I can't hit even a single grunt. Got tired after 10 minutes and owned by the grunts in 2 minutes later.

playing pixeljunk monsters encore, didnt bother playing the tutorial 1st, after halfway game just realised that can upgrade the towers by dancing on it, b4 wasted alot of jewels just to upgrade the towers and left with no jewels to buy new tower. sweat.gif sweat.gif

buying mw2 at rm 195 , putting in the bd into my ps3. boot the game up, error the game will quit ( trophy bug or something) . until today i cant play mw2 .... its sitting there staring at me. i need to patch the game 1st . but no internet atm at home for a long time now.

One of my 'facepalm' moments in gaming. I'm sure most of you remember Getaway for the PS2. Played through the first mission and died a lot of times due to taking gunshots from enemies. I tried for countless times repeating the same first mission and kept wondering if there's a way for me to restore my character's health via a health pack or whatever. I even tried dodging and rolling to avoid the gunshots. Gave up on the game.

A few months later, read a strategy guide from the web that the character is required to lean on a wall to heal. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

FF8: The colour matching monster puzzle where you need to kill monsters of the same colour or they'll respawn. I'm colour blind, had to drag my friend to identify the colours sad.gif

I accidentally scored an own goal against China in FIFA 10, was using Man United. Supposed to press the 'clear ball' button but ended up too 'chee gek' until ter-press shoot button. Damn you Wes Brown.

Play bioshock 2, almost reach last level.

Suddenly game hang or stuck, and i become like a ghost, cannot die.

So i thought i save game, and load back it will be ok.

But i load back, it is still in ghost zombie mode, cannot die, cannot progress~!!

and my facepalm moment is when i OVERRIDE THE OLD SAVE FILE!!

SO I END UP PLAYING THE WHOLE GAME ALLL OVER AGAIN!!! RAGEE!

Last time done with Xbox 360 CoD:MW2 with Veteran mode.
Bought PS3 last 2 week and start CoD:MW2 Veteran mode again whistling.gif

Seriously, it wasn't that hard anymore sweat.gif
