facepalm moment in gaming

I'll start with my recent facepalm moment

Was playing Resident Evil 5, in the missile factory level
I reach outside a room with a side window, with 2 door (front door, and side door)
I didn't open the front door, but went to the side window and have a peek inside, just in case there's enemies inside

true, there's 3, 4 faggots waiting behind the main door waiting to ambush me if I open the main door, and they didn't notice me at the side window

I laugh out loud, equip my hand grenade, aim at them, and threw the grenade. (Big grin on my face )

*bing* the grenade bounce off the window glass, bounce to my feet

"OH SH1T!!!" tried to run away but too late... BOOOM!!


GAME OVER

plug my megadrive's power adaptor into my cousin's micro genius, as I forgot to take his power adapter when borrowing it.
turn on the power, POP!!! burned the power supply unit of the micro genius, smokes coming out

cost me RM80 to fix it at a con shop

Playing Mass Effect:
Was cursing how come doesn't have a world map on the HUD when running around in new world, and cursing the small little radar with limited range while driving the Mako, roaming aimlessly around to explore and search for next place to trigger new objective.

After clocking almost 20 hours of game play, press start, went into the menu, Eh? there's the big word MAP there



Playing Assassin's Creed
Went to Damascus for the first time, got awe by the beautiful city...
reach a river canal, Woo~ got river, got boat, and got a flag on one of the boat there.
Wanna collect the flag, so jump down into the canal, thinking to swim to the boat, then the next thing I see is Altair screaming for help, then Game Over
turns out this mighty assassin can't swim, end up killing himself by drowning in the tiny canal
