Just wonder how our most active member in this topic, hikari perform??
Good luck, Hikari !! I always look up at u. For me, I need to concentrate on my studies. However, being a house leader is very headacne. Problem housemate especially when they want to move, late payment rental. Problem landlord, want a rental raise & prompt payment... All these distract my attention on studies. Thats WHY I FAIL.... I need to find that girl tht cause all these problem when my ACCA so near. She KEPT DISTUBING ME TO GET BACK HER DEPOSIT BUT SHE CAN'T FIND ANYONE TO REPLACE HER ROOM. I WANT TO BEAT HER Sorry.... I need to find someone to blame on my own failure. |

Congratulate on Hikari pass 3 core papers at first attempt!!
An Interview to Hikari: 1.Do u practise a lot of exercises?? Like BPP, Foulklynch & pass year. 2. For Advanced corporate reporting, all the rules need to memorize?? 3. What is your future prospect after completing ACCA. Are u planning to join Big 4?? U want to involve in which field (tax? audit? etc) 4. Why u choose this path?? |

QUOTE(coolly @ Feb 21 2006, 05:11 PM) hello, Coolly, so which Tuition provider is the best for 3 core papers especially Advanced corporate Reporting??you are still young, don't worry.... for 2.4,i would suggest you can go to Mr Chow Kim Tai from FTMS.... For 3.2,Kwai Fatt is a good option but i am afraid he is not conducting revision this round, maybe you can consider Mr Chow Chee Yan from Mc Orange or Ms Kok from PAAC... For 3.4,you can go to Parmindar class in Kasturi... U suggest me to go for the whole revision class or the intensive one?? Last time, u take both class (normal & intensive class)?? Anyway, you are very very smart since u completed the ACCA in 2.5 years. Thats great!! |

QUOTE(hikari @ Feb 21 2006, 05:36 PM) 3.PwC already called me, i forwarded my results to them yesterday.. so practically i'm just waiting for them to call me again to confirm whether i'm shortlisted.. instead of the Big 4, except PwC, i would rather join BDO Binder.. lol.. my fren is there and he told me it's good pay n much more relaxing compared to big 4. plus, BDO also easily accessible by lrt... so actually if PwC turned me down, i'll go to bug BDO to hire me.. hahaha I think I will directly join commercial firm after I graduate. |

QUOTE(coolly @ Feb 22 2006, 04:05 PM) normally we won't follow the tuition provider as the guide of reference,i will suggest you to look into the lecturer who is teaching... Thanks a lot, can u indicate where they r teaching last time??For 3.5,i went for Marty windle class last time,i think attending his class is fun especially this is a management paper. For me,i personally think Keith Farmer for paper 3.6 is very good in term of exam technique,i would strongly recemmend you to join his revision class... For 3.7,you can consider Daniel Ho and also Fred Keer,i attended both their normal and revision class before, their revision class are great... i would suggest you to go for the full revision class,in fact when i was studying my ACCA last time,i am taking it in FTMS,so there is no whole revision and intensive, only one type of revision only... ya,i was study full time last time,so i am taking normal class and also revision class... finally, thanks for your compliment,if i can do that you also can..so continue to achieve your dream of ACCA....all the best.... Most of my friends take tuition in Kasturi but end up complaining to me no good!! Though Kasturi fees is Cheaper.Yes, they take ACR at Systematic. |

QUOTE(xcrue @ Feb 26 2006, 01:39 AM) Is she come from Penang Branch one?? Diploma Result GPA 4.00, isn't tht her?? Is yes, thats her!! I know her ACCA exact marks, both below 70. She didn't perform tht well maybe bcause she didn't go for any tuition. One of my classmate both papers also get 70++ bcause she go for all tuition &yes surely, she is hardworking. QUOTE(LZXian @ Feb 26 2006, 12:51 PM) um...guys? I'm planning to study accounting at TAR college for the May intake after I get my SPM results in March....can you offer your opinions concerning ACCA and CIMA? What are the differences between these two and the job prospects for each?thank you After SPM, if u choose TARC, u have to undergo a foundation course, DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING. It is a 2 years course. After tht, u will only decide whetner to choose CIMA or ACCA.MY advise to u, if u r capable. u can directly do LCCI first, then ACCA. It is faster path!! MAybe take about 2 and half years. QUOTE(coolly @ Mar 6 2006, 04:41 PM) no leh, from what i observe, especially for 3.2,if he wrote one article then the question he asked would be quite easy, the rest of the questions are bit difficult... My sitting is different. In 3.2, the Trust Question is very tough.like in my sitting,he wrote an article about insurance and the question he came out during the exam is easy till i cannot believe... Maybe it apply in different case. |

Colly, I wish to ask FTMS core papers teaching style for revision class ??
I already registered. For example, do they cover all syllabus? Do they talk very fast?? What approaches they used to teach us,more Q & A or more theory talking by lecturer. I fail my 3.2, so take 3.2 plus core papers, maximum 4 papers!! Thanks |

QUOTE(hikari @ May 2 2006, 10:00 PM) who say ACCA cant self study? i had a friend who took 3.1,3.3 self study and pass both... nothing is impossible if u have the right attitude, mentality and approach.. Yes, I have to agree ACCA can self study, but only applicable to certain group!!This group is either self motivative or Smart or both.. Actually, NO one will fail ACCA eventually if u have the determination, resit again & resit again, u will pass. Thats what one of the lecturer tell us. But, I work towards pass at the first attempt!! I got one friend, hardly attend class, but obtain good GPA. 1 month before ACCA, she just started study (self study by photocopy my or sometimes her friend notes). Result: She get 66 & 68 for 2 optional papers, not bad for last minute study She use my notes to study, but I fail one of the papers & pass the other. |
