My volume reduction button on the steering wheel sometimes function as a Pause button.  No idea why.  My SE has got so many nagging problems... not to mention to infamous klunking noise.  And my car only a few months old only Sighhhhh!!!

They should change the the name from Proton Persona to Proton Problema.  vmad.gif

just like i wrote in the previous page, blm manual stick feels odd, because too long (felt like driving a bus liao), compared to persona, short shift  brows.gif

hi bro, yup i found that persona stick is shorter or i should say 'sportier', however for the clutch releasing is it the same?? BLM release cluth at almost end, wondering is it the same as persona? but i know once i got , ill have to GET USE TO IT.. as well as the cluth , is it heavier to press and release, since its 1.6cc

hehe.. too bad no test drive for persona , sigh... cheers..

ermmm... mine is around half the clutch distance i guess. Haiya bro, don't worry about the clutch, along the time, your feet will automatically remember the clutch timing  smile.gif  About the force needed to press the clutch, i can say it is light, wont be a burden. I've driven car with a proper racing clutch, it is far more way heavier than persona clutch  laugh.gif
I think if u want the test drive, maybe you can direct to the proton coe at shah alam. But last time, i demand my nearby sc to test drive before i put my booking despite no persona test drive car, then he took one of the new persona in front of the showroom (those that waiting for jpj registration) and gave me to test drive  thumbup.gif so yea, i'm test driving other ppl car  whistling.gif
congratz  icon_rolleyes.gif  ermm... the stick on the right side of the steering. Pull it.
if the sticket still intact, maybe can get higher resale value compared to others persona?  tongue.gif

bro, from what you wrote earlier, both incident happened when the boot was not closed properly? If like this, then the boot lamp sure will drain your battery i guess  hmm.gif  the boot loose or because of your negligence?

Wahhhh.... you lucky laaaa.. My Proton Problema SE is best by problem after problems

1k service - oil overfill, filter leak, all famous noise unsolved
5k service - again oil overfill, filter leak, all famous noises unsolved
10k service, check oil no overfill, but still oil leak, settled lower arm "kok" sound only, all other noises unsolved.
12k service (at Ah Beng), changed oil and oil filter - leak settled.

now at 15k, existing noise:
1. air-con rattling noise
2. right hand Problema trademark "klunking noise"

new noise, random "tick-tick" sound from dash
new problem, "-" button on steering functions as pause button.

now waiting for more noises and problems to show themselves

Still at the Proton SCammer, I must thank them so far for not using the famous proton slogan "Itu biasalaaa...."

I have been using my Persona for the last 10 days,so far:

1)There's no sound occurred when doing u-turn left or right (mind you that i need to do a u-turn every day when going to office)

2)The famous sound at the back seat, already solved by using PVC tape.

3)The air con is damn cold.I set it at 25 degree celcius with fan speed at 1 click right after u turn it on.So far there's no annoying rattling sound occurred only you can hear the radiator fan kick in sometime.

4)There's rattling sound on the dashboard. Not so obvious when the air cond is on but when u turn it off u can hear it especially on non smooth road.

5)The only major problem is the windshield water injector is not working.

6)Fuel consumption on 100% city driving around RM0.15-RM0.16 per KM.

7)Radio reception and controls are good.

8)The reverse beep is audible ,just nice.

9)Some tips for new Persona owner, check your tire pressure when you received your car.Mine is at 40 PSI when i received it which is not good for driving in KL especially with all the potholes. You absorber can take it but not your interior especially anything inside the dashboard.

10) I spray all the joints and bushing with silicone spray as prevention for any unwanted noise and have been using old  Iswara for the past 7 years and already known the famous part that producing any kreokk...or nyet nyet sound.

11)The turning radius is not favor to my taste.

p/s:I think my expectation for this car NVH is too high.Almost off the time i am not realized that I am driving a Proton not a Mercedes S Class.
*
err bro, meaning NVH for this car is good or bad??

Added on November 8, 2009, 10:49 amguys, fyi my loan approved, waiting for car in 2 weeks time. cheers.. hope for the best..

persona NVH is much much better than waja,wira,gen2.....and it can be comparable to some japanese makes....overall its quiet car....
speeding at 140km in persona is still allright where you can still listen to ur music and talk 2 ur friends without increasing voice compare to waja/wira or some other cars at the same speed...
*
thx bro for the clarification, mine Bline Auto, the reason i chose persona over saga blm is cuz of the NVH,car size, handling and stability etc as mainly i'm travelling highway daily to office.

Test driven BLM before, its good car however if compare to persona with just few K diff, really think should go for this for the extra COMFORT due to the car size, engine etc...

really cant wait... hehe... cheers... thumbup.gif

auto can go till 195km/h shocking.gif mine manual stuck at 190km/h... i think still can go but here no road for me to speed except highway...
mine tinted brand is not very famous but settled me for rm1000... but the heat dissipation is very good and very dark too brows.gif

thx bro for the input, yupyup actually thats the things that bothers me, even if u go to authorized tinting installer for branded wan like v-kool, aircool, kristalbond etc, somehow they will have ALOT OF ALTERNATIVES for u to choose.. which has ALOT of diff color, spec etc, and claim its the actual branded as well, just dont want to pay >1K for cap ayam stuff.. imagine u pay for premium price and get color papaer nia, just in case... doh.gif
