I am impressed with your resolution...

but lets say that "savior" friend of yours, the one who dropped everything to come help you... one day approached you and needed monetary help of say 50K rm. Valid reason and all. Would you not extend your help?

my friend who helped me. 100k also can give.

ren qing is the priciest thing on earth.

continue our discussion, i received an email this morning, titled - i am going to die soon.

a guy, who has been very active in our community, developed prostate cancer in 2022, and been very aggressive and spread to other parts of his body. doctor has given him weeks, or max 2 mths to be alive.

life is short, apart from financial health, we have other health to focus on - physical health, relationship health, work health, and spiritual health. we need to focus on them too.

i went to bed feeling down last night. im thinking a lot this week - one death is pending, one person gets bullied (and think deserved it), and one gets promoted. how much we are taking in superficial credits in this life, feeling proud about it, then die.

sorry for my rant.
*
he has left us 3 days ago, 10 days since he announced he was dying soon.

life is really fragile.

RIP.

Love this advice
Just like me already working makan gaji for 2 decade...4 digit salary only
first 10 years minimum spending, try to saving money in bank and ASB
Next 10 years invest in property, land...
Money is King, when you have money you can negotiate property/land price in your terms
Key is to never give up
Life is full of ups and down....in the end we wanted to enjoy the processes...

For me first 7 digit is hard few years ago when I,m starting with zero, now trying to hit 8 digit nett worth in 2-4years.
Keep looking opportunity along the way.
*
well done, bro!

especially for those without any help from anyone, the first 100k is always difficult, then the 1st 1 mil... after that, it's easy. by then, you have changed your perspective about money, how to go about it, and you start loving the game - to you, money is just a number, and the game is how to double it, and triple it...

hope you hit your 8 digit soon! thumbsup.gif

gaji 4 digit but hitting 8 digit net worth?

how old are you? near retirement age?

Unker said 4 digit is many years ago. I think Unker worked hard buy lands and properties.

Plus it's not celery that determines your wealth. It's HOW you use your celery that determines your wealth.

I'm just curious guys, how does Lazada make any money?

Take an example - I buy special milk for my grandparents. In-store in Caring, it is RM99 for 1 and RM188 for 2.

On Lazada, it's the same pricing for the store. They give RM11 auto-discount if add 2 to the cart. But you can save another RM56 by using Lazada platform voucher and coins.

Surely the seller doesn't bear any losses, they are selling at the exact same price as in-store.

So how does Lazada make money here? I doubt Lazada makes any money from anyone who actively stalks or participates in this thread.

With Shopee, it's different - they've closed down a lot of avenues by disallowing stacking of vouchers, and hard to get unbeatable deals there unless there is a good store voucher to combo with.
*
All new business riding on huge losses first, but still have high valuation (don't ask me who comes up with those numbers), so the investors will keep pumping in money to gain market share. Once enough, they will be like grab monopolise the business. But online platform like Laz and Shop have been losing money for many years.

Anyway, I am not sure how this question relates to this thread.

Above 2 cases.

In their 30s
Income close to 30k
Have properties around 1.5 mil
Epf: house investment ration at 1:3

The real meaning of 30 by 30s.
(30 by 30s, 40 by 40s, 50 by 50s? 💭 )

Malaysians still have a liking for property> EPF, active income > passive income

In my case, I bought the property not because of my "liking for property" but due to pressure. It is the biggest financial setback for me so far, by far. Since it's my primary residence, it's also not generating any passive income for me.

I do favor passive income a lot more than active income, however my passive income so far is far from letting me FIRE. I've been chasing for active incomes all these years just to build my passive income faster.

snp 1.8 mil, repayment around 9k/mth? definitely heavy. we just need to make do with life circumstances. thumbsup.gif

I can survive with RM2k, RM1.2k to be precise

First of all, need to be single and cleared all bank loans so if married then I can understand RM2k is challenging

Then, probably some will categorise how I spend to be under lean FIRE but for me that was how I live even when I was still working
*
2.5k would be good = 80/ day, which is nothing. you do wanna buy good food and good fresh produce.

Meal - RM620 (RM6 + RM7 +RM7) but in fact I only eat 2 meals and yes I am outside KV so Chicken Rice RM5 Mixed Rice RM6 still available

TNB - RM40 (2 person, no aircon but big fridge & occasional water heater)

Water - RM10 (Rounded up, 2 person minimum charges for usage up to 10 cubic metre)

Unifi Home - RM75 (500 Mbps, rounded up incl SST)

Unifi Mobile - RM0 (Only reloaded once RM10 since MNPed)

IWK - RM12

Cooking Gas - RM5 (Drinking water and occasional cooking)

Assessment & Quit Rent - RM39 after divide total by 12

Petrol - RM60 (Usually RM40 but put up buffer since sometimes will travel for leisure)

Car Insurance, Road Tax, Driving License - RM25 after divide total by 12, car value less than RM10k

Insurance - RM202 (Life & Medical. I stopped pumping in but recent bull run gave me a surprise that the cash value stays the same after 2 years not paying)

Haircut RM0 as I bought the clipper and DIY

Shampoo, toothpaste etc. RM10 but hardly as one 1L bottle can last 2 of us 4 months

No rental as house is own and paid

The balance of about RM100 can consider provision for house or car maintenance (touch wood)
*
You're living minimally. Even cut own hair.

So your passive just enough to cover your expenses or your lifestyle is enough with this amount?

Later on, touch wood. The money you've how.. Don't you wanna enjoy life a bit as well? Go travel?

Maybe bald la… so no hair cut…🤣

Very very minimally living.. indeed another way to FIRE.

But are you doing it because that’s the budget you have to live with or you just decided to be minimalist?

My cats is looking at me as I’m texting this…. Asking me  what about their food and vet cost.  😂
*
Yeah. Car breakdown how?
House need to fix stuff how?
Visit friend bring fruits and stuff how?

So I tend to put higher number to have a better life. 2.5k is my number 😁

Morning guys,

I am 33 years old only, but earning around 7k to 9k per month, working as chemical engineer.

My net worth is very low, everyday I eat mostly roti and nasi lemak only.

I driving proton persona only, very cheap car.

My net worth is around RM950K (including EPF, bank acc, stocks and shares).

I got no debts as of now.

My car - Paid in full cash.

All personal loan already paid back to bank.

As of now, zero debts.

May I know am I doing something wrong? Should I be earning much more as a 33 year old Malaysian?
*

so  is this all bluster?

or people dont bother to read him?
what he  posted few years ago.

if 3years ago
he had  5 to 6 figures monthly income
RM2 million to buy house

dont you think
you guys are all  wrong
in saying all the above?

he does have that money
he made it big from bitcoins
but he is not very intelligent
no common sense
*
is it possible? yes. it is. 12 mil is less than 3 mil usd. very easy to hit.

nature of my work is profiling, and i am still observing his posts to see if the info he is posting is consistent and make sense.

i have reservation on what he does but i will keep it to myself first.
