I like the Sigmalux bokeh more than the Nikkor. Here's a site for you to check out sample photo taken by different lenses. http://www.motleypixel.com/reviews/index.htm

QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Dec 17 2009, 12:46 AM) but still d5000 dun have the build in motor. i m just a noobie any place have better price for d3000 ? time square ? lowyat ? or where else? since i survey at melaka .need 2100 with kit lense. next week . going back to kelantan , i will go to kl , so maybe will do the purchase Get the D5000 if your budget allow, the ISO performance is so sweet and extra video function if you need it. Although no AF motor, but for me it's okay as mostly newer lenses comes with build in motor now.

QUOTE(C.P.U @ Dec 18 2009, 02:46 PM) My seat is VIP seat instead standing. I will seat 2nd row infront stage. I think there be less chance bump to other people. ISO the best 1600 or 3200? Your D5000 shouldn''t be a big problem using ISO 3200 if needed. But I think ISO 1600 is good enough.

QUOTE(C.P.U @ Dec 18 2009, 03:04 PM) noted.... because normally night I even use ISO 400 and the MAX is 800.. only.. I affraid lost the picture quality.. However I checking around and it recommeded ISO 1600 or 3200~ D5000 has the same CMOS sensor that the D90 using. So high ISO capability isn't much an issue.

Shutter speed determine how long the camera shutter unit open, the faster the shutter speed lesser light will be captured and vice versa. Aperture control the Depth of Field of an image, wide open aperture like f1.2 gives very thin DoF, hence you need to be careful of your focus spot. Additionally, Aperture also can be adjusted to allow more or lesser lights travelling into the sensor unit. ISO sensitivity determine how sensitive is the camera sensor in absorbing lights, hence the higher ISO allow the sensor to absorb more lights but will also lead to increment of noise. All these 3 factors we have to adjust our own in order to produce the result that we really wanted.

QUOTE(jasonkidd_87 @ Dec 31 2009, 08:38 PM) Can 18-55mm produce nice exposure at night? I never tried during night =/ Depends on the situation, if it's indoor, pair it with a speedlight and you are good to go.
