No im using Nissin Di622 with a bounce card. The showgirl is not underexposed, but the background is underexposed. ISO i used 400, aperture lowest possible (F5.6 i think), shutter speed i manually put 1/50, and that's the lowest speed i can handheld with least handshake.

So i think either it's because i dont have a prime lens, or my D40 noise control is weak (ISO 800 is very noisy) or i dont have a good bounce card. But i think it's because of the noise control though, i should have used ISO 800 =( or get a prime..

IMO, itz not really a good idea to buy 50mm 1.8 if u r using D40/D60/D3000/D5000... coz afte the user buy it, he/she surely say regret for not getting a DSLR with built-in motor... after that they will hunt for DSLR with built-in motor... the incident happen to me and few of my frenz too... last time when i bought 50mm 1.8, i aso tot of using MF oni... but in reality, MF really slow u down a lot... 

35mm is quite wide to my preference... and double as expensive T.T

i was thinking in getting tamron 17-50 vc by end of d month to replace my kit lens, n need opinions from u guys...
is dis lens worth buying?i'd read reviews saying dat it is ones of the good lens so far (for it price  ).
or better go get the 50mm f1.4 instead? since price oso almost d same...

or should i wait n topup abit for 18-200 vrii? (which i think not practical so far since i already had d 55-200)

im more into portrait and event photog...and sumtime do landscape oso...

Hello. i'm new in photography. WTA about what is In-body focus motor?? i'm interested with Nikon D5000 but these model doesn't have the function.. anyone who know bout this would be appreciate to list it here. tq

the differences between these model to D90 only in-body focus monitor... lol

Today I go to the shop to try 50 F1.4D and 50 F1.4G.
The D lens is sharper @1.4 + some CA. G lens don't much as heavy CA.
At 2.8, they're almost same.

After much consideration, I bought a Nissin Di866 instead. ha ha ha.

Will start hunting for 2nd hand AFD 50  F1.4 as I'm not in a hurry to get it.
