A500:
- 5 FPS (OVF) and 4 FPS (LV)
- 3" tilting 320x240 screen
- 12 megapixel CMOS

A550:
- 5 FPS (OVF) and 4 FPS (LV) and Speed Priority (7 FPS)
- 3" tilting 640x480 screen
- 14 megapixel CMOS

Both are Live View models, but with a bigger viewfinder magnification (0.8x) than the A3x0 series. Note that there is MF Check LV which gives you 100% view. Personally I would pick the A550 because the 640x480 screen is superb, and 7 FPS without AF/AE is good.

Somehow, in my case, don't think I mind that much when it comes to the difference of the screen's pixels.. since I'm kinda already used to my a200 which has the same amount of pixels as well..

And the fast burst shots are not that important for me right now. hardly any time to go and shoot sports anymore. hehehe...

So, a500 sounds pretty good to me... but either way, need to wait till it gets into stores here. then can test out both cameras and maybe test out the a850 as well... hehehe...

hahaha... maybe you're right about the 7fps... will reconsider... hopefully the price would be affordable and not much difference from the a500...
