» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « VincentCheun: use bigger F number so that the face in focus I think (at least eye part) seems like you are focusing to the hair (focus at the middle frame) but hell yeah... I love the bokeh... (so easy to out of focus LOL) is it me only or 50mm 1.8 tend to give some kind of vignetting effect arround the subject? ![]() This post has been edited by Ksano: Sep 11 2009, 03:36 PM |

QUOTE(tanjq87 @ Sep 11 2009, 03:46 PM) This is not vignetting, because the light from the french fries frying machine is much stronger than the ambient light, I am guessing you used spot metering in this case, so the exposure will follow the circle at the centre of the viewfinder. thats the problem |

QUOTE(VincentCheun @ Sep 11 2009, 03:50 PM) yalor..some part is out of focus... just increase a bit the F number... so that at least it cover the head area I think, ...ask a question...if i want to focus the baby only(included hair , eyes n body) in the pic attached, wats the suggestion setting?? still the bokeh effect just affected a bit only IMO, |

QUOTE(Poadster @ Sep 11 2009, 04:13 PM) Am wondering, how are u focusing yr images then when yr OVF is blurred?? thats the goodness of autofocus maa Hmmm... i suppose that the magic of autofocus + steady shot = sharp images??? I still remember one of my friend, dunno posers or wut... he keep taking pictures using his friends camera... when I try to take a look at the camera... OVF is blurred just as the cases mention!! ( but he says that he can see clearly though then I adjust it back lol nickilala: thanks for the compliment... ( now u make me wanna keep the 50mm back lulz) |

QUOTE(dingenius3 @ Sep 14 2009, 02:10 PM) eh... from wat i understand.. the screen size is the same... my typical mind set of gadget things only the resolution... similar like at ur computer screen monitor... u can adjust the resolution maa... 1024 ker... 1200 ker.. 1600 ker.. i guess the power consumption should almost the same lah.. Added on September 14, 2009, 2:11 pm its a sign u need a VG... best wor... can store 2 battery... better = more cost better resolution = more energy consumption I don't know how to explain but.. its like terminology of graphic card... the better , the more power it needs so like... better resolution screen need more have more dpi? so consume more power hmmm |

QUOTE(countdracula @ Sep 15 2009, 09:44 AM) good morning everyone well, maybe cant expect much from free software hehe...bout da software, do u guys who use picasa notice tat it will degrade da photo quality after saving da pp? im using picasa n image data converter sr. both hv their weakness, if they can combine into a single software will really shine yup I notice it if I do some adjustment effect on the picture.. but if just resizing, I think still no problem, since most of my picture didn't PP much because I`m suck at PPing |

QUOTE(lildaredevil906 @ Sep 15 2009, 02:36 PM) aha! i have a question now!.. isnt the lightroom like together in a package with photoshop? Coz, i prefer changing tones of the picture, not manipulating the picture.. and freeware such as photofiltre slow la.. I think that lightroom is on its own... since as far as I know, I did install lightroom once, without installing photochop...but... hmm ... not sure pulak wakakaka |

albnok:
about the sam function... yea I did realize that... turning on the body to manual only will still have friction on the lense.. even when I`m not using my camera... I`ll turn to MF on the 50mm lens because the rubber focus grip tend tu slide with my bag compartment (which cause the focus ring to move forcefully if I turn to af at the lens.. (at least i`m not risking my lens to broke earlier when I putting into my bag frequently I dunno wether the my camera or lens the prob.... when I was outside klcc... and when I`m taking pictures of people passing by... the pictures tends to underexpose.. (matrix metering) and while in restaurant, when I use spot metering, my subject tend to underexposed also (picture becoming silhouette LOL.. these happen when I use your VIVID setting, but when I turn to normal setting , all become ok already |

(but I thought that macro is better of with tele in order to not scare the bug?unless capturing non bug things of course |

QUOTE(albnok @ Sep 17 2009, 01:23 AM) clivengu: There are third-party battery grips for the A700... but it only has 3 buttons. If you've seen the VG-C70AM you'll know why is worth that much - it even has its own joystick! wooohooo!! macro lens that is lower than 1k Yes, V4 is much better with details at high ISO. lauyamonk: Congratulations! You're the first I know with this awesome-range lens! countdracula: I think the Sony 30mm F2.8 DT Macro SAM will cost a bit more. Probably under RM700 since online some people think it will be USD200. must grab |
