QUOTE(craziqbal @ Sep 17 2009, 08:09 PM)
For me personally (had the same dilemma earlier this year  whistling.gif )
1st choice definitely CZ 16-80 (sharpness, IQ, colour, range) icon_idea.gif  thumbup.gif Price not so nice  sad.gif

2nd choice Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 Macro DC (damn interesting lens, nice range, 20cm MFD, macro magnification 1:2.3@70mm, sharpness also okay). to me offers most value for my money. Eventually I went with this lens  icon_idea.gif  blush.gif But this is one lens that is very hard to sell 2nd hand  sad.gif

3rd choice tied Tamron and SAL16105. Tamron is sharper than the sigma, constant aperture, range not so nice (again, a personal observation). I personally love the SAL16105's range, it's simply awesome!

Some people might not agree with me. blink.gif  The choice ultimately is up to you, we give you the information to enable you to make an informed decision. Cheers!  icon_rolleyes.gif
