Hey @bearbearhong

Hmm.. I'm like you, I wear size M custom fit / slim fit RL polo..

However, I brought a MIJ M120 polo in size M as well from UK.. aiks, I'm worried. unsure.gif

My item only arrives next month.. only then I can tell if it's ok..

The reason I brought in size M is because I saw this @ site:

http://www.baggamenswear.co.uk/product/T-S...ns&siteid=30859

"Fred Perry Limited edition Japanese polo

100% Magenta pique cotton.

Contemporary slim fit.  Made in Japan.
Size Guide: Our model is 6ft 1tall (1.85 M). He has a 42 Chest (107 cm) and a 34 waist. (86cm). He is wearing a size L in this product"

If he've chest size 42 and can wear size L, so this could mean, chest size 40 can wear M and chest size 38 can wear S.

I'm chest size 38, so I could wear size S or above. So to be safe I choose one size above which is M. This was my reasoning..

Although the pictures shows that the sleeves looks tight on him, I think it's ok for me as my arms ain't as big as his... so the sleeves might not be tight..

Haih.. how I wish I could try on a MIJ polo here in Malaysia, too bad Fred Perry KLCC / TANG's doesn't have it. sad.gif
*
the MIJ M120 size M should be alright for you. remember, for any MIJ FP, be it M120 or Fxxx, you should always size up one. i wear XS for MIE, MIP and MIC, so for MIJ, i size up one to S. anyway, the smallest size for MIJ is S. it will be slightly tighter around the arm but i am fine with it.

btw, FP KLCC just brought in MIJ Fxxxx last 3 days. limited stock with limited size. go check it out. retail from RM399 to RM429.

Thanks bro..

I've a MIC 3600 which I wear size M...

So.. this means I should get size L??

Anyway, worst come to worst I'll just sell it off in LYN if it's too small
*
the M3600 has a slim fit cutting. though it states that size M = 40" but it fits like 38". i would say its size S = MIJ size S.

please bear in mind that MIJ FP will shrink a little after the first wash! you may want to take this into consideration when choosing the correct size.

Added on June 23, 2010, 9:10 amactually almost all FP will shrink after the first wash

Bro...about liberty? size 36 same with you'r size 36 100yr?
because i want buy  black one's but only got size 38 to above right now...
*
FP Liberty size 36 is much more larger than FP 100 years size 36. i like the design but hate the sizing. i just sent it for hemming.

size 38 will be REALLY big on you.

I brought the MIJ polo online also based on the measurements given on this site:

http://blog.shopfarinellis.com/2009/05/jus...apan-polos.html

I then measured my own MIC 3600 medium size and checked against the MIJ 120 medium size shown @ the site, and I find it's roughly the same.
*
i did mention previously than MIC M3600 is a slim fit, and both MIJ 120 and MIC M3600 are almost identical in sizing/cutting. thus if you wear M3600 size M, MIJ M120 size M should fit you.

btw, you did purchase the MIJ M120 from this site?

If the model name is printed on the inside label, e.g M125/3600/whatever, does it mean it is an original?
*
not necessary. do you have a pic of the actual label?

No I don't have a pic.

I find that FPs have very narrow shoulder widths. The shoulder seam sits far above my deltoids, giving the impression that I am even narrower-shouldered than I already am. The collar opening is disproportionally wide for such a narrow shirt, leaving quite a gap.

The good thing about FP is the narrow sleeve hem which grips my bicep firmly, narrow torso, and light and minimalistic construction, unlike these ridiculous Padinis with stupendously thick button plackets (for zero reason). I also like the coloured bands around the collar and sleeve hem. It's all very tastefully done, construction and colour-wise.
*
the sizing and cutting of FP varies from the classic regular fit M12 (MIE) to modern slim fit M120 (MIJ). the one that you mentioned earlier, M3600 (MIC), has a modern approach with slim fit cutting. its shoulder width is indeed narrower. i reckon that the M1200 (MIC) or the M12 (MIE) will further compliment your body structure. also, in comparison, both have wider shoulder width.
