hmm, another way is to hardreset the phone. (warning, all data will be gone) hold the volume button and switch on the unit at the same time, a boot up menu will appear and ask if to hard reset or not. press volume up to hard reset.

weird maybe your router is not set to DHCP which assign ip to each devices automatically.

just wondering, do you guys have an option call Auto Backlight at Power setting there? Just meet a friend of mine which have a touch 2 today and notice his unit has it while mine does not o_O...

well same rom. No hardspl for Touch 2 yet. and I got a feedback from HTC already. no light sensor for our units(but why the heck the option is even there >_>)

well i find it quite ok in multitasking since there is a hardware button for it. and also if not mistaken one can select multiple file to send right? can't really recall as i seldom send file using bluetooth

it's an update, HTC release it few months back. it's available on all units no matter it's AP or Original.

well don't think anyone has freezing problem with the phone. seems to be working fine here . try hard reset your phone already? (all data will be gone, please backup the stuff you need before doing so)

if you did hard reset your phone, how did you did it? via the phone or thru hardware buttons? maybe you could also name the software you install? so far this phone is nice even with stock roms (custom roms finally available fo r touch 2 but still prefer stock rom for some reason )

@geniuz, it's an update. Kinda forget what it does already but you can see if it's installed by looking at Remove Programs. Just install all the updates EXCEPT Mp3 as ringtone update. seems to have issue for most of us
Applications? depends on what applications you are looking for

Lagging? this baby is very smooth ...trust me, as long you don't simply install applications, it will work fine (one of the unit that has quite a lot of ram on it,runs WM6.5 nicely)well screen wise, its not much difference to me IMO. If i were you, don't trust your friend unless he does OWNS the phone ..

well it seems cheaper than last time . Well for pda, would recommend getting original set rather than AP (warranty wise,htc got service center where they got experience people to repair)Another way is, maybe we could help check the price for you to see if it's cheaper or not? there is not such thing as lifetime warranty for software. that does not come with 3G capabilities as in for mobile internet, you can only use Edge only if not mistaken, that unit is not available at malaysia (specially for some countries only)

Nope. Touch 2 are unable to made video calls because they don't come with a camera in front of the unit. The main difference of the normal and special edition is:-
Normal-comes with 3G network capabilities and GPS
Special Edition-comes with only Edge network capabilities and NO GPS
btw did some research and if not mistaken the special edition is only for India users
