and my second question. we still need to back up the factory ROM right? I could probably run through the thread but so far haven't see how we can do this.

Oh btw, I inadvert left the "Google location detector" thingy at the setup page. I can't seem to find the option to disable it.

Just worried this will send periodical "pings" that will result in data usage costs. Or I gotta just disable "background data"?

I can't seem upgrade to Modaco 3.0. I have run the files via Recovery Console and both the Enhanced ROM and boot sound are shown as successfully installed. Currently on MCR 2.9. Help!

Hmmmm.... how do I know if my apps are being stored on the SD card?

I mean, every app I install, especially rather large ones will result in my phone storage space to reduce.

Checked the SD card, seems like there's individual apps folders in there

yeah but that's based on daily subscription. If you use that plan for 8 days in a month, it's gonna cost you RM64. Add RM8 for every additional day.

Lost my USB charger cable thingy for my Hero...

so I took a normal mini-USB cable thing, it seems to charge ok. I kinda feel stupid asking this, but this fine right? Cos it just looks like the shape for HTC default cable is different and nothing more.

I feel you myboo_1988 , but then again we gained some 4 months of Android experience no?

I'm still content with my Hero, will use it for at least another 7mths before thinking of selling.

Added on April 5, 2010, 6:47 amtouch.facebook.com doesn't seem to work anymore on Steel, got Invalid URL. Opera allows it to be opened, but formatting all messed up.

Using m.facebook.com now... not a big fan of the dedicated app.
