Since RAM and processor for X6 are not good enough to run Symbian 3, seems Symbian 3 will be a dream to those X6 owners.....
....unless they buy N8 soon. tongue.gif
BTW, have anyone here tried F-Secure Anti-Theft?

I installed it but still not trying this app capabilities since it claims 'can detect stolen phone through GPS and lock it'.

but the downside of it, it needs to run everytime on background. So, right now I can't use my Opera Mobile while using this app. sad.gif
*
Never tried that...RAM is something that is very much lacked in Nokia X6...
So Nokia should give us Virtual Memory:D

Yeah...kinda like a dream...but I hope they at least give some of the features that are very much wanted on Nokia X6 biggrin.gif

Haih...what to do?_? Nokia mah==lll

Ohh haha.. I don think i need about 50 applications, about 20 for me is more than enough.. tongue.gif
What apps did u install? So many siot
*
With it's 32gb mass memory, it's extremely easy to install more than 50apps...I can't understand how in the world can this actually be an issue to so many Nokia S60v5 and yet nokia didn't rectify it?-.-

guys, as a precaution, try not to update yr Nokia Ovi Suite to v2.2.0.241

i updated mine and ran the map update, (supposed it will delete your old maps and voices to replace it with newer)
now i'm left with only Hong Kong & Macau map, the voice guidance files got deleted too
*
You know you can load the maps and voices back using Nokia Map Loader don't you?biggrin.gif

Any maps and any voice:D

Hope it helps you:D

i deleted the new ovi suite,
installed an older version and no issue already.

Nokia Map Loader is a diff software?
but i can't get to install X-plore in my unhacked phone,
after signing it, i tried to install, but before the installing starts,
this appeared ~  "requested application access not granted"
*
Yeap:D
Nokia Maps Loader allows you to add any maps and any voices:D

As you must understand that improvement like these are consider critical updates for the current firmware WHICH S60v5 haven't yet technically launched yet....example v20 > v3x or 4x levels...

btw, thanks for trying...
*
I have tried it and am using it but seriously I don't see any improvement on my X6-.-''

If I download picture and song using phone, where it is located ? and how to I replace the default downloaded folder to other place ?
I connected to Wifi but when I try to surt Ovi store on the manu page, it uses 3G. I'm getting sick with this.
*
Downloads are saved in Mass Memory...Downloads folder
I don't think you can change that location:)
And to solve the ovi suite connectivity problem,
Go to Settings then Connectivity then Destinations...in Internet category delete all Wifi access point and in Uncategorised, delete all Wifi access point too...then now set up your wifi connection again...and make sure wifi connection is set as Priority 1:)
Hope it helps:)

another prob for my new x6...when i try to restart the phone, its just freeze on NOKIA and then blackout...  shakehead.gif
i only found temporary solution.. :

- Switch phone off (or pull battery out and put back in)
- plug in the phone charger, as soon as the screen lights up pull the charger pin out of the phone.
- when the screen goes black switch on the phone
- plug the charger back into the phone when you feel the start-up vibration
- phone should start instead of hang

the problem is, how can i always bring the charger each time i want to restart the phone?  doh.gif
anobody got permanent solution for this?

as i knew, the new ori set of 16gb x6 comes with car holder...it costs rm1200 here in sg petani.  brows.gif

I have that problem too previously and used the same method...but when I sent over to NCC one day, they told me my mainboard spoil so they changed a new one...but even then I still get the nokia screen and blackout which is after some searching and asking, I can conclude it's due to Apps crashing in Drive E: Mass Memory:D

had that already, jz clears the ram only
not tuning up like crapcleaners and tuneup utilities does for PC
BTW, Skyfire browser is no more working for Malaysian users and after a check with google,
apparently many other countries shared the same fate.
*
Mine's still working:D
Want the installer?biggrin.gif

Need some advice. Got my Nokia X6 yesterday and gave it a full charge overnight. Today I used it to listen to music and transferred some files plus made up some playlists. The battery level dropped from 7 bars to only 2 by afternoon, in one day only! At least my LG Arena lasted 3 days! Also, the back of the phone became warm! Is it a battery problem? Read in another forum that the rise in temperature could be due to a heavy battery drain. I checked the phone and there doesn't seem to be any applications active. Thanks in advance.
*
It might be firmware issue too or it can be battery problem...
Just visit the NCC and if it's Battery problem or you insist on changing 1 new battery, they will replace your battery in no time:D

Multitouch = Just for lame low graphic games or maybe pictures..
Memory paging = PJP
Overclock = Do yourself or PJP (soon)
Note: Higher clockrate will have higher power consumptions....which i do not want to sacrifice it 3 days on time is already little... tongue.gif
*
I didn't know PJP has memory paging...my RAM level was still at normal level...
and Battery isn't an issue...you can purchase SunGlobal 1800mAh battery from Clareen rclxms.gif
I would definitely want overclocking:)
And the screen rotation rotates to the opposite side part kinda irritating...
and my kinetic scrolling still scroll to areas with nothing there....
I don't feel my phone speeding up...

My opinion:)

And can anyone solve the issue of Memory Full issue in Apps Manager, Suite Settings of applications after installing approx 50 third party apps?smile.gif

the screen rotation issue which i also come through....hope they fix it next time..glad you found out

btw, sunglobal battery which i think is fake coz i purchased 2 times and both which supposed are 1800mah but detected on the N900 were 1500 only...still doubting that..
*
Oh...but when I run apps...still my memory go gg very quickly...haih blink.gif

Sure about the Sun Global batteries?...Is it long lasting first?...
Even if 1500mAh also better than original lar... smile.gif

How about the 50 apps problem?smile.gif
