All MLM/direct sales whether you buy directly from the company or the distributor are overpriced. How I know? I was ex Cosway customer. Got it straight from the source.
Then I compared Elken/Amway (website price) vs straight from US, found that it's cheaper to buy myself than relying on those companies.

Did you know that Cosway uses the same spirulina from Parry Nutraceuticals (from India)? NOW is the cheapest company which uses Parry Nutraceuticals spirulina. Same product, different price. Just search online at Amazon and you can see the price difference. Now, you will be saying what about shipping? You can use direct freight forwarders and still save compare if buy directly from Cosway/Amway/Elken. Alternatively can buy online from online shops.. I myself save min 200% by not buying from Cosway. I use to take the NOW brand then I switch. (I don't recommend taking the Parry Nutraceuticals spirulina)

For Amway multivitamin, just check with other good brand like Life Extension/Pure Essence (these 2 are way superior). Repeat the above. How much can you get discount? RM10-20 by being member? Even with that tiny saving, buying straight from US yourself is way cheaper.

Another example. Fish oil. Eg. Amway Salmon Oil. 120 softgels which contain 180 mg of EPA and 120 mg of DHA. For that same price you pay if you are member, one can get better quality and higher concentration from Carlson Elite Gems 240 softgels. Don't believe me? Let's bet. The omega 3 from carlson are at least twice Amway at 400mg of EPA and 300mg of DHA. It cost about RM260 (after shipping). Compare that with how much Amway is selling.

Then there's question about quality. No fish oil in Malaysia are certified to be clean from pollutants/fresh (not rancid) and meet the min amount as stated on their labels. Certain US fish oils are certified by International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS). For me personally, I only take fish oil certified by IFOS. The IFOS Program is the only third party testing and certification program for fish oils. IFOS sets the world's highest standards for purity, potency and freshness. If a certain product did not meet that standard it's unsafe to consume.

You want more proof? Just get me Amway's member price and I will get you an equivalent product at cheaper price.

I already save >RM3k by opting not to be Cosway member anymore.

Was using Parry. Then I found Nutrex Hawaii (more info can be found here). Stuck with Nutrex ever since. Reason for switching:
- Nutrex uses 2000ft deep ocean water which enrich it with trace minerals (something which no spirulina producer in the world does)
- Nutrex spirulina is dried using the same deep ocean water in seconds without heat.
- Nutrex package their product in dark air tight bottles (which I must say is excellent to protect the product)
- Nutrex is located in the US where quality control is stricter compare to in India (same reason I avoid Taiwan, China spirulina). You do not know how their quality control are. For Nutrex, I asked for Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for heavy metals, chemicals, bacterial contamination and they gave me a copy of 3rd party lab CoA of their spirulina.
For me, getting the CoA of a product is very important before consuming as I am taking it into my body. If the manufacturer will not give me a CoA, I will look elsewhere. By giving me the CoA, it means they have nothing to hide.
- Smell. Parry one smelt not as good as Nutrex while Nutrex smell kind of "fresh".

Why amazon? Because there you will get honest customer review where they will compare other products. Items sold on lelong. mudah are not even worth looking at. All selling same stuff as those sold by Malaysian pharmacy. You can't even see the full list of ingredients on Malaysian online store. Yup. That's why you get the CoA, look at official company label to check out what's inside (in US, there's a law that the manufacturer must list out what he put inside. Cannot hide. If hide and found out, can kena sue. Don't need to list until exact mg just the contents).

Honestly, I don't take blackmoore anymore. There's so much better brand than Blackmore (Healthy Origins, Nutrex Hawaiian, Carlson, Nordic Naturals, etc)

Those products I get are genuine and expired min 2-3 years from purchase
US stores buy in bulk so they are practically half price than what's sold by the official manufacturer. Supplements in the US are cheap compare to Malaysia.

For me, I personally won't buy vitamin C supplements. Why? Better option exist such as lime, lemon, roselle. Why waste money on vitamin C supplement? There are other better stuff than vitamin C for immune/antioxidant.

Don't drink those tea. Highly not recommended. Better to DIY own tea. Besides, cannot poop just eat more fruits + vege + drink lots of water.

For me, if really want to to take vitamin C, I will take Amla type of vitamin C, second choice Now. But then again, I get my vitamin C from real food (lime, roselle, capsicum). I don't quite like the idea of eating Vitamin C supplement when one can get it at lower cost and much more safely.
