a few things you need to understand about keepers.

firstly, they contribute to defence rating no matter what. in my case, no defenders also my magnificent GK contribute to around weak defence across the rating (i think).

secondly, i'm on offensive coach (one that use profanities and offends many people). if i was on defensive coach (one that defends kau kau on any accusation or choice of action) then the ratings would've been higher.

thirdly. if i have some defenders, the ratings will increase much more.

so don't regret on that excellent keeper, it helps a lot. ideally, get all your players to passable. then upgrade bit by bit.

what to upgrade? if your division has people generally better attack / midfield than you, then ideally you should be upgrading defence and midfield.

if you're the one holding stronger midfield than the rest, good idea to upgrade attack.

there's no rule but in my opinion, you have to study the rest of the teams and make sure your upgrade will allow you to have dominance over at least 2 teams - meaning in worse case also you 6th spot. then hold on to that for a while, then upgrade again. repeat the process until you promote.

play that guy as tdf ma ... 0.8x8 passing + 0.6x5 scoring = formidable liao ... better than spending a few times more on excellent striker ... but tdf don't contribute much to side attack

i haven't paid for my account, no access to the stats.

i just spent about 50mil right after i posted. and it was the fastest ever spend (within about 30 minutes) with minimal bid wars.

how's the bid war at higher levels? ... worse compared to lower levels?

i think low levels bid war more power. cos there are more low-level teams than high levels.

well i guess u can buy 20-30 low level guys and pump them up before selling ... harder to do for higher level guys gua ... plus if the market is smaller, then there's even less motivation to do it
