So, true for this..... Move the Swiftech wordings to a place where it won't obstruct the fitting.....

PS: Yes, GTZ's Swiftech wording can be taken out..... biggrin.gif

probably just the angle i was taking.. i have reseat the swiftech a lot of times.. and no leaks at all =/.. same with the NB, and the O-Ring im using, is the thicker one which is the one that comes with the swiftech barbs.. so it'll be slightly terkeluar

just did a mirror finish on my TRUE Black =D.. its not flat 100% yet lol.. after being lapped with 80grit and 2000 grit .. 80 grit and still cannot make the copper base to appear sleep.gif in the centre .. after that polished..

user posted image

also my GTZ biggrin.gif.. after a re-lap with 2000grit and polished.. before this it was pretty damn dirty due to frequent change and reseat of TIM..

but wont lapping the gtz affect the performance... gtz and most current block come with concave base... not flat base...

guys over at xtremesystem do state that lapping HK3.0 indeed its a bad idea...

I think lapping is no longer needed these days. We'll be fine with the original condition but I think reiben is just trying to clean off those stains, etc from the base of the GTZ so instead of cleaning it, he used sand paper to sort of lap it?

i only lapped it with 2000 grit.. just to remove the stains and give it the original mirror finish

i just used 80 grit on the TRUE xD.. i didnt think 2000 grit could be used to lap it, only mirror finish .. the GTZ, i only used 2000 grit since it was pretty rough and dirty..

was the gtz tarnished before you lapped it?
if not, why lapping it in the 1st place?
