Why isn't a single thread about medicine/medical studies is pinned?

So sad to know that doctors here are treated badly... I think the least that a doctor who had gone through years of hardships is a little piece of respect...

Which is more important as a prerequisite to do medicine? A good mark in Chemistry or a good mark in Biology?

Oh.. I see...
I like biology as much as I like chemistry SPM level...
But I hate the topics about plants, though... Anyone agree??

Pharmacy is a good choice, you know.. I've heard that one of my cousin is hired by GSK and his pay is VERY high... But I don't know the situation now... Looks like everyone is into life sciences nowadays...

By the way, is there a difference between pharmacy and pharmacology? Read wiki and:

Pharmacology (from Greek φάρμακον, pharmakon, "drug"; and -λογία, -logia) is the study of drug action.

Pharmacy (from the Greek φάρμακον 'pharmakon' = drug) is the health profession that links the health sciences with the chemical sciences, and it is charged with ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs.

Not so much difference eh? Didn't they study just about the same thing?

I think the reason they want math as a requirement is that math can indirectly show your intelligence level... As my add math teacher always said, the reason they include add math in secondary school is to develop the analytical and thinking skills of a student... And from my experience, students who excel in math is able to understand scientific concepts better than the one who doesn't, some can even memorise better, though I cannot see the connection between memorising and math...
