imo,
they normally call the current available AFD 80-200 as the two touch version. Mark III sounds so kenon-ish tongue.gif

cropped? doesnt looks sharp though  notworthy.gif

yup... it is not sharp to me too blush.gif
cropped at 100%

QUOTE(calvin_gsc @ Sep 4 2009, 11:58 PM)
f/5.6 is not enough depth of field to capture the moon. I'd recommend using a minimum of f/7.1-f/11. My sharpest had been with f/13 using the 80-200mm af-d two touch.

Did you apply some kinda filter on it? Cause the colors seem washed out.
*
few reasons for it:
1. my lens is covered with vapor coz of condensation doh.gif
2. it is 12pm direct sunlight killed much detail
3. my pp killed the colours
4. most important point is, i'm still noob. need more practice

QUOTE(FirezZ @ Sep 6 2009, 05:30 PM)
hi just checking... between these 2 lens.. which one would be "acceptable" for you guys ?

tamron 28-75mm f2.8
tamron 17-50mm f2.8 (non motor)

guess it is hard to find a new unit for non motor of 17-50mm for my D90 but... is it still a good lens afterall ? i don have 2nd cam. or no intention to get a downgrade type, so non motor is still acceptable for my D90 right ?

i saw there are a few posts, people selling the non motor 17-50mm for more or less USD 300 for 2nd hand unit but requires postage from hk or US. Whereby locally here (msia) it costs around rm 1.4K for that
does it worth it a ?
*
28-75mm will not be wide enough if you only have this lens on your body. but if u intend to get a wide lens, 28-75mm is a great day2day lens smile.gif

i agree too, taking photograph has to be moderate. it really irritates seeing the same guy taking pics non stop since beginning till the end (addition: bursting) in any occasion doh.gif
flash also is kinda irritating in halls and dark places. few is ok... non stop is doh.gif

Anyone here own a Tamron 24-75mm f2.8? Is it a good lens for portraits?
Quite tempted to buy it. tongue.gif
*
owner here... it's a decent lens i'll say. at f/4 and above it produces great pics. f/2.8 will be softer.
price is cheap nod.gif

sample pic at my flickr with tammy 28-75mm : flickr

QUOTE(KTCY @ Sep 24 2009, 08:54 AM)
Is 28-75 sleep.gif
I feel a little soft but some claim that it's a sharp lens.
*
it is sharp. lately shoot bunch of pics at f/8 and the sharpness amazed me
but of course most of the lens at f/8 is sharp tongue.gif

Haha, D90 group should have a  TT.  tongue.gif

I personally bought D90 as my first DSLR instead of cheaper models because it's awesome with many good features. Video is a bonus  tongue.gif

seconded for D90 TT or group shooting

QUOTE(Sp00kY @ Sep 29 2009, 08:29 AM)
wide angle i suggest tokina 11-16
rclxms.gif
*
yup, i agree too. but the range is a little short. alternative can be nikor 10-24mm

QUOTE(Hongraphics @ Sep 29 2009, 09:49 AM)
Sigma 10-22mm f4-5.6, low budget wide angle. tongue.gif
*
imo, there is no siggy 10-22mm correct?
closest is sigma 10-20mm?

QUOTE(KTCY @ Sep 29 2009, 11:36 AM)
Nothing beats Nikkor 14-24 flex.gif

on street price only RM 2,3xx brows.gif
*
yeah, 14-24mm seems to be the best UWA so far <-imo
but having 14-24mm on a APS-C sensor cam is not really wide

Wah,u got 17-55 DX?  drool.gif  drool.gif

Tokina at 11-16mm not much distortion compare with sigma?
thank god u advise me not to buy, almost buy that lens last week. thumbup.gif
*
imo, 11-16mm tokina too have distortion, but easily fixed with photoshop.
10-20mm sigma's distortion is uneven and hard to fix.

anyway, these are just stuffs read in internet. you need to ask the real users or go down to the shop and try one wink.gif

If there is nothing wrong with the camera, there is no need for it.

Usually people bring it in to clean dust in sensor. That is the most common "service" that most people refer to.

There is no weekly, monthly, or yearly service required for the camera.

The only service I usually perform myself is wipe the body and lenses clean, blow dust away from lenses, and if there is dust on sensor, try to blow it away with a handheld air blower.

changing shutter mechanism maybe? but that only when it fails hmm.gif

ive tried it already, many many times, erm, the motor in the lens makes a sound, but the lens doesnt hunt, aiya. erm, can warranty cover this?
*
try clean the contact point, or try another lens
better to bring to nikon SC to let them check. if warranty not expired you should be able to repair it hmm.gif

go www.mudah.my
price might be cheaper than e-bay.

just to share my friend's experience in mudah
he made a deal and send his lens to "SOUTH AFRICA"
turn out that guy still does not pay after sending him the fedex receipt
he have to ask fedex return the lens to him

but i think my friend is quite dumb to belief the guy so easily
so be careful in mudah.com sweat.gif
