i think you've pretty much got it right. not sure if it's called steady though... single? alot of people get blurred shots (especially me!) because of not realizing we're on AF-C haha

sometimes the 50mm is all i take out. makes us move around, instead of just zooming in and out. for practicing your composition?

not a fan of lens flares, so i don't attach any extra hoya glass. just carry around a lenspen.

currently using my nikon d90 as merely a light meter, cos playing with film slr.

will post up results when it's out. i hope it works! otherwise i'd have wasted money on film only to over/under expose the shots.
