well...i dont know if there are significant changes in the low noise at high iso or other improvements in terms of image quality..
but i know a D300 imo isnt worth the extra bucks to upgrade from a D90. it is basically the same thing with different body. High iso performance and dynamic range is better on the D90 at dxo. The only advantage imo is the weather sealed body which is great (but heavy) for outdoor/wildlife photographers. Glad that nikon fixes the ok button on the D300s though..as compared to the button on the D300. yup. 5.9k..minus d90 body 3k = 2.9k if i got a d90 body i can get a few 2nd hand lenses..hehe.. maybe tokina 11-16 + a prime or zoom..or the older af-d 80-200 f/2.9 push pull. |

QUOTE(the_tranny @ Sep 3 2009, 03:00 PM) I owned an 11-16 Tokina months ago. Its great. Then i fell in love with Nikon 12-24 (and hated 11-16 end to end) and i live happily ever after what's the advantage of the nikon 1224 other than the afs motor and longer focal length upto 24mm?I thought that bluish purple tint on that yawning lion is natural. Added on September 3, 2009, 3:16 pm QUOTE(Sp00kY @ Sep 3 2009, 03:09 PM) yupp i agree...its very subjective and boils down to personal preference well..maybe as it says la.. a prime nikon 300mm f/4...wooohooo i prefer something like that: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « None the less, a good shot can be PP to anything, urs is a sharp and good one 70-200??: This post has been edited by alpha_company: Sep 3 2009, 03:16 PM |

QUOTE(kimurastanley @ Sep 5 2009, 05:05 PM) Hi, every D90 users.. D300s and D300 has quite a lot of price diff already.. RM1.2K difference between them..plan to upgrade my D60.. not sure whether D90 or D300.... Do u all think it's worthwhile to spend on the more expensive D300/D300s?? D300 body and D90 body - RM1.5K difference between them.. 1. What do you wanna do with your camera? 2. Do you need the higher fps on D300/D300s? 3. Budget? 4. D90 weighs less while D300/D300s weighs more. 5. Prices of accessories like battery pack on D90 or D300 6. Did you weigh the pros and cons of a D90 VS D300? I thought of this before and considered about this: - I held an older D200 and it weighs me down when doing weddings. Heavy. - Check at http://www.dxomark.com . You will find that D300 vs D90, the D90 wins in all four aspects : Sensor, Color Depth, Dynamic Range, Low-Light ISO. Again it all boils down to budget and user preference. |

The A16II are the ones with built in motor right?btw, i found out on A16II there are 2 types a ? made in china and made in japan.. err in general .. any major diff between them ? What I know is that the older version of tamron 1750 without motor has been manufactured in japan and china. the ones that are built in china has a higher rate of back/front focus problems. The ones that are made in Japan also have that problem. If you wanna but the ones without motor you MUST MUST check it on your own using a focus test chart and other normal shooting methods to make sure you have a good copy. if you wanna get the ones that have built in motor, you are much less likely to encounter this front/back focus problems but it focuses slower. for either of them, get the ones that are made in japan. QUOTE(HiroBoroi @ Sep 8 2009, 08:03 AM) Above is post by Matthew Duclos taken from the redforum link I posted earlier. I think "RPPs" means Red Pro Primes (lensses). Check out the prices here. yeah.. i saw those prices before.. man the RED is some piece of equipment.. if im not mistaken, it can also fit NIKON mount lenses on.Cheapest prime lens is USD 5950 = 21000 ringgit. Cheapest zoom lens is ISD 8500 = 30000 ringgit. I think I need to see eye doctor oledi. My eyes pop out so many times seeing the prices of all these stuff. just look at the design of it..it's like those ancient transformers in transformers 2 movie. red can also take much much better hd vids and even better still pics than dslrs..at least that is what they claim.. Added on September 8, 2009, 2:37 pm QUOTE(jsc_tidus @ Sep 8 2009, 01:15 PM) well..i would rather go for the RED as it is good in both video and still pics..only thing is that it's bigger. This post has been edited by alpha_company: Sep 8 2009, 02:37 PM |
