QUOTE(ReeNz @ Jan 17 2010, 10:03 AM) I think if you increase your F stop to 8 or 11, would be better. I think the subject is a little OOF though, a little tighter frame might also tell a better story (I feel that the foreground is a little too 'messy') Could be better if you fix the horizontal (: Added on January 17, 2010, 4:56 pm QUOTE(astria @ Jan 16 2010, 11:59 PM) a noob test shot with my new Powershot G11... a bit buay balance since i put the tripod on the windows ledge... Could be better if you fix the horizontal (:Focal Length: 6.1 mm F-Number: F/2.8 Exposure Time: 6 sec. ISO Speed: 80 QUOTE(achew @ Jan 14 2010, 12:42 PM) wow..nice clean shot there..love the gradient on the sky...but i'd prefer if the sun wasnt overexposed that much.. QUOTE(Sp00kY @ Jan 14 2010, 01:29 PM) Was more focusing on the tanker than the sun This post has been edited by Utada: Jan 17 2010, 05:03 PM |

QUOTE(ReeNz @ Jan 17 2010, 05:11 PM) Thanks for the comment..actually it was cropped from a horizontal pic, maybe i should improve my cropping method The increase of F helps when you are not able to focus fast enough. It compensate with 'focusing mistakes' because you increased your DOF. If you are using a fast lens + camera, getting the bokeh + focused subject should not be a problem. Doubt your flash can reach if you are already at 105mm focal length |

QUOTE(ReeNz @ Jan 17 2010, 05:18 PM) It should make sense, no?By the time your camera focus, the subject could have run out of the focus already. With higher F, you still could get the action within the DOF. Maybe don't agree, but you just got to experience it to know. BTW, I'm a girl. QUOTE(ReeNz @ Jan 17 2010, 05:11 PM) Thanks for the comment..by fixing horizontal u mean to level the floor right? If i increase to f8 or f11 I will need to bump ISO or use a flashgun right? Or can i PP later? Thanks Yes, i meant the horizon. Fingers type too fast, just like how I spam shutter on camera This post has been edited by Utada: Jan 18 2010, 11:06 AM |
