but yea so far no news on batt replacement anywhere, tho there is a 6 month warranty on it.
anyway, shouldnt worry too much on ur batt dying...it can always be charged in wired mode.

Well megalodon is virtual surround...same goes for those from logitech and steelsound.
Some ppl i know use the ss 5hv2 soundcard with their razer headsets.

bro, does this mean that the virtual surround of the megalodon is because of the maelstrom engine? so, this means that the headset is actually same with razer carcharias, jz that there's an extra sound engine maelstrom and some lightings? correct me if im wrong =x

dunno, razer doesnt want to say so...they just say the sound is different cos of the maelstrom engine.
and SS sound card? if ur talking about that cheap ass RM100+ one then i got no comment, just that i would guess that it will suck for anything other than gaming.

But the sound system is different
One is stereo(2 speakers) and the other is 7.1(7speakers) at the ear cup
Stereo you don't need any card to power it. 7.1 you need to have

megalodon specs when says its got 40mm drivers basically says enough that its stereo.
megalodon faq also says its virtual 7.1.

regardless stereo or surround, u still need a card to output sound.
if u meant by a card for powering it up, well the zalman 5.1 headphones does not need any extra power...and its real surround with 3 speakers in each ear up and costs only around RM180.

surround sound is nice if you're playing single player games / movies to get nicely immersed in them.
but competitive games? where got time...that one imo a good stereo headset is enough.
if fata1ity hasnt yet done a proper actual real surround sound headset, then he doesnt need it.
and if he doesnt need it, means u dont need it too biggrin.gif

there is no such thing as 7 speakers in one ear.

5.0 - 1 left front, 1 center front, 1 right front...and either 1 left center or 1 left rear...and 1 right center or 1right rear.
7.0 - all the 7 u see above.
and the 0.1 is the sub-woofer.

razerzone already has size comparison pics with DA.
basically the length is about same as salmosa, but since the hump of orochi is nearer the palm its slightly more comfortable.

xfire is a chat thingie like msn, but also lets u see what games ur friends are playing so u can join them on the server etc.
also has a voip thingie but no one i know bothers using it, cos rather use vent or teamspeak.

yea, got 'button trainers' where u can stick on certain numbers so easier to find them.
it just takes a few hours to get used to it anyway.
and in playing position, the thumb would usually be over buttons 1-6, so needless to say those are the easiest buttons to hit by feel.

theres 2 modes, 123 and num mode.
in 123 mode, the naga side acts as the 1 to +, on the top row above qwerty.
in num mode, whatever key is binded to the numpad on ur keyboard will be mirrored on the naga side.
so essentially u have more keys to use without ur hand going everywhere on the keyboard.

tho for fast paced FPS, the only thing really u can bind would be weapons.
but for me...i would rather have weapons around WASD, with the exception of nades which i usually put on the side button.
