Hey guy.. i got collect some wood/tree bark, over the bark there got some green spot, is those algae, & some are white..not sure izzit fungus though.

Do i need to scrap it off, before in use?

I think the safest way is either you bake it under really super hot sun or you bake it in a microwave oven, just to kill it completely. From my experience, scraping doesnt help much at all lol

I guess im still going with the hot boil water for 1 night or 2 days

or oven baked them.... place the wood on aluminium foil n bake for few mins... dont bake too long or it will b wood cake or popwood..lol

No Microoven/microwave, so its out of the solution, tried to borow somebody else, but they not allow.

So, i guess im still going with the boil water & hot sun, although the sun that shine on my area is limited

well u do have candles rite... Torch them for some mins...

Boil the wood in water laced with salt then leave to dry in the sun. If the heat dnt kill the mites, the salt will.

crazy fello ....... ahahha my dad just pick up some bark in the forest and is a nice one got whole and long type .... damn nice he put it under sunlight for several day and clean all the unwanted ......... and then did spray some kill germ geh ubat after that pu under sun lagi after that clean it with wate agian to make sure the ubat go away ..... thn is all ready to use !!!

nid 100% sure that the pesticide is gone... too risky.... salt will kill ur scorp too....

Just pour boiling water on the wood and bake in under the sunlight for 2 days and u are good to go.. the mites will be gone by then but I dont know about other microorganism. You might cause more harm then good using salt or germ spray.
