Got anywhere to download the original firmware of this phone?

she a seller, so tis predicting game is kinda normal to her..well, before u go buy ap set, insert ur sim and check got network or not,locked set cant use other sim.

I just bought this phone Nokia 5230 from Clareen.
Hopefully it's a good phone.
3G and GPS is what I need only. No need wifi or good camera. Can save RM300 rather than buying 5800.

dude, it is a good phone.
totally cheaper than 5800.
same with you.. i juz need its GPS, 3G, 3.5 HSPDA and touch screen.

i think that i felt this phone can do better is have the video call.
If got the function i'm satisfied alrd.

my previously using 5800 phone got stolen.
no money so end up buying 5230.
and i think this phone is worth it. same like 5800.
if you need better camera and video call and wifi, then have to add another RM300 to get 5800.

so far no complain. just updated the firmware. V12

yes, can. This phone got 3G so able to have high speed connection. but you need to install pc suite or ovi suite.

is the ovi maps free to use for Navigation?

i'm not sure about ovi maps. I guess should be free just like for the 5800 phone model.
i install garmin and use it. A-GPS will charge a few cents everytime a lock is needed.
Using integrated will take for ages to get a lock tho. I think the GPS is not as strong as 5800.

Just get my phone 5230 from Clareen today and everything is in good condition, thanks. Yesterday only i placing an order and today i already received the phone, really fast.......
