my solution:
1.open ur xbox 2.before u turn on the xbox,put something(in my case,long screwdriver) in the fan 3.turn on ur xbox 4.it show the same error(e73) then wait for awhile until the 1rod turn to 2 rod 5.turn off ur xbox,then on back again(if it successfully work,stop 'jamming' the fan) thats wht i do after my x360 got that error and it works dunno for how long...i dunno if this trick will help u or not..but give it a try 1st |

If I do the reballing process, is it possible for the 360 to RROD again? I mean that the xbox's case air flow is not much and would the high heat cause the GPU to overheat or do I need to replace the fan just to be safe?

I saw people asking whether Falcon get RROD. I am not sure mine is a Falcon, but the manufacturing date is 1 Sept 2008, a 1 month old baby. It got RROD out of the box.
It is a Japan Xbox 360 Arcade (No HD). It got a 0001 error, the OS load up as usual and my GTA started for a while.... less than 1 minute the screen went blank and i got RROD. Some friends told me it might be the power brick problem, i can't test it because my power brick is a JPN one, and no one has a JPN brick for me to test. Bought 360 for Infinite Undiscovery..... I import it using PlayAsia, now i regret it, should have bought locally no matter how cheap PlayAsia sell it. Can I know... if PlayAsia is nasty enough not to replace it, where can I get a JPN power brick, or can anyone fix a JPN 360???? This post has been edited by neogeocdz: Oct 4 2008, 08:00 PM |

@ricadoe - Input AC 100-127V / Output DC 175W MAX.
I know this is odd, One thing I noticed. I got RROD when my step up/down converter heats up. It normally heat up in the first 2 minutes when i turn on power, I mean.... it really heats up till you can fry eggs on it, Could it be the Power Converters problem instead? Those converters are working fine on my Wii, Saturn, Neo Geo CDZ etc etc.... but not 360? Added on October 5, 2008, 12:43 am@cannavaro - Yes, I got hit by tax (RM 201.80 Regarding the RROD, I have informed PlayAsia via email on Friday (Late evening), they normally replied on the next working day. So I am expecting an answer on Monday, will update u guys the status.... This post has been edited by neogeocdz: Oct 5 2008, 12:43 AM |

Since you already tested those step down converter which is working on other console (like you said Wii Saturn and etc) So I doubt is the converter problem.I know this is odd, One thing I noticed. Lower any then that it can't even power on the AC aDapter. |

U r right DjiNn, not my converter problem. Confirmed my Power Brick is dead out of the box, my 360 works perfectly fine with my friend's power brick. I am arranging exchanges from the console seller.But Do Remember, the Xbox 360 requires a stepdown converter of at 300W. Lower any then that it can't even power on the AC aDapter. |
