I'm looking for a new CRT TV. It's just for watching Astro and divx. I been to a few shops but they seem to only have pensonic/china made crts. Anyone know which China 'Cap X' tv is of good quality or is that just wishful thinking? And which shops can i shop for branded CRT tvs at this time and age? hmm.gif Thanks.

Just a word of caution.....check the specs first before buying it....many times ppl buy dun have Svideo, Component, interlaced, progressive etc...make sure your Astro decoder, multimedia player specs before buying any TV.
Dun come in here and say your TV no progressivelah, cannot connect to Astro other than using the Yellow RCAlah...etc.

Wishful thinking of course. China brand will die on the first day after warranty period. Even it survive you'll start to get all sort of problem. One must be extremely lucky to get it working without any problem.

I believe hypermarket like carrefour, giant, tesco etc. still carry branded crt tv. Some local e&e shop also have. I even saw a local shop near my house is still selling VCR player!!! thumbup.gif

Jusco, Tesco, Giant still got plenty mah. Panasonic, Samsung, LG, Philips, Sharp still widely available. Don't ever buy a local/china brand. Regret for sure.
