This right here is a great example of selective memory and over-exaggeration.

As supporters, especially the younger ones, we must realise that the galactico era is just a very small part of Real Madrid's history. Trying to imply that it isn't Real Madrid anymore just because Del Bosque left, Makelele got sold, Figo got sold, R Carlos got sold is just spitting at over a century's worth of history. Players come and go. Figo when he was sold was already over 30 and could hardly beat a fullback anymore. R Carlos was becoming a liability in defence (CL against Bayern anyone?). Ronaldo? He only won 1 league title in a season when he was only fit for half a season. The same amount that Becks won. I'm not downplaying their achievements because they all played an important part in our history but you must realise that even before the galactico era we have assembled and dismantled countless teams. Winning teams at that. So when u say u want to see the 'old' Real Madrid again, how old exactly are u referring to? Cause the galactico team can still be considered quite recent and Real Madrid existed way before then. And for the record I DON'T want to see another galactico era. That era summed up what went wrong with the club's direction. I want the club to go back to its roots when it was just primarily a football club concentrated on winning matches and trophies.

The signs so far have been promising. The current team is very young and ambitious. And the squad has better depth in terms of talent compared to the galactico days.
We just need to show a little patience for everything to start clicking together.
