Well, thats the Ronaldo package for you. You don't become the most hated (or was it envied? Hmmm...) player in the English Premier League by being a saint. Take away his cockiness and you might take away the player that is Ronaldo. I've said it before when he was previously a devil. Ronnie's where he is today becoz he takes shite from no one (especially the media and rival fans) and his attitude on the pitch translates into wanting to be better than the rest. Until he overshadows the other 21 players on the pitch he'll not be satisfied.

QUOTE(verx @ Dec 7 2009, 03:37 PM) I doubt he can still be considered a boy now (Girls must have been fawning over his six-packs when he took off his shirt ) Emotions got the better of him but since he has apologised it's fine with me. His attitude is the reason why he has become the player he is today. It's not typical actually. Only Luis Figo took it like that and his feint is better. Ronaldo needs to take lessons from the master again If I'm not mistaken, Simao also took it the same way. Next month's football magazines posters will be Ronaldo's Roarr! hahaha~

Good performance today. Only blotches were Albiol's mistake (which he redeemed with his goal) and Casillas conceding the pen (what in the world was he thinking)

that silly mistake by casillas... i think he will got red.. seems reff a bit fair tonite.. not really strict to both team.. and that marcelo,.. not nervous against average team + good in control the ball... but find himself selfish at the very last minute not to pass to benzema.. for sure we should have 4 in the net... anyway.. we are qualified !

I just wonder why we actually bought him and sold Torres

I thought he was solid for the most part. Let's see..any Marseille chance came from that side...erm...no..I remember Ramos getting burned for pace though How about Pepe's woeful touch me and I fall act? Sometimes I wish he stayed on his feet more.

Sometimes I wish he stayed on his feet more. He did give some space to the opposition players. Agreed about Pepe, he is too sissy imo Anyway, did you guys remember watching nice little compilation of Marcelo's match in the final minute? Seems he is showing some "PROMISE" to be a left back

to me.. me just played above average last night.. luckily marseille played even worst then us.. beside ronaldo, alonso and albeloa.. i think, the others were so-so only.. we gave the ball to opponent easily, we wrongly passed even sometimes there are no pressure at all (lass frequently did this). anyway.. we won last night and that was the great part of all...
ronaldo free kick was awesome.. from 30 yard, what more can i say.. really miss when we met valencia next week.. huhuh..
i agree with verx about albeloa.. he did close down left flank perfectly... most of marsielle chances were from ramos area and the only goal from them as well...
marcelo abit sell fish.. most of his decision was wrong.. he should pass the ball to benz/lass but he didnt, he should stay strong when in front of goal.. but he went down.. when sub was coming, im hoping that he is the one who should be sub.. not higuan..

Just woke up after watching the match last night. It was not a very nice since we should've scored more than 3 but the freekick was damn good. Me and my friends were stunned by that goal and even Cristiano's 2nd goal amazed me. Damn he's good~ hahaha But questions need to be ask about defending setpieces. I think Manuel solved this problem until I saw last night's match. We were really weak at some point in the game. It was either that or Marseille were really good with their set pieces last night. Don't know why, I think Casillas should have not pulled off that diving tackle because I don't think it was that much of threat that needed that kind of tackle. Maybe it's just me. Will watch it for second time tonight. One thing for sure, since there's no Niang, Marseille looked very dull attacking wise.

I'm not being bias here, just slightly happy because it's been a very long time since I saw anyone in Madrid can take corners. Sneijder were better but that was when he was playing his 1st season in Spain. Lucho was causing damage all over the pitch with his through balls and he kept Marseille game ticking, something like Xavi for Barca. It was not that efficient but it's enough to cost a lot of damages for Madrid.
