QUOTE(ahnien @ Apr 11 2010, 11:41 PM)
based on the upcoming fixtures. RM have relatively easier fixtures compared to barca. barca would still have to face villareal n atletico??

based on the table, the most difficult match for RM could be valencia.

hmm.... keeping my fingers cross.
*
barca will play atletica at home and villareal at away.. so i think.. home match is nothing to them.. what is crucial is away games.. and i pretty sure that thier away match is easier than us.. so, chance of winning the league, i would say.. near to zero percent.. unless, barca screw-up unexpectedly.. but, seem it wouldn't happen.

we have to play against mallorca and not to forget.. almeria.. tricky team.. go check their stats.. their home game is pretty good.

QUOTE(quithrilius @ Apr 12 2010, 12:55 AM)
I said the defence played well.. not Awesome.. messi had to work his way through.. in pedro's case it was a through ball .. waddya expect? if one were to judge a defender's ability by 1 through ball that ended up in a goal.. the only good defenders are in Video games..
*
yup.. agreed.. our defense play quite well.. 2nd goal was not easy to avoid.. all our back 4 played high to close the gap between midfielder.. so what more can we did? tactical-wise it was right.. but, the down side was, aebaloa is pretty slow to catch up pedro to shot.. same goes to other 2, garay and albiol.. IF, ramos playin at arbeloa position, to me.. the chance to intercept pedro from scored is bigger..

well, we can see, in barca.. they have puyol who is experience and FAST.. the is the main reason why the can deal with through ball well.. IMO..

anyway.. from the match.. to me we play so-so only, though we had higher number of shot, but, it was came after barca scored.. after guti came in.. our midfield seems better.. IF VDV score.. i think, the result may be different..

nothing to be sad or disappointed, we lose to the best team in the world.. and we have to contain 2 best player rite now.. xavi and messi.. sweat.gif so just enjoy the rest of remaining games.. and we will try again next year.. wink.gif hope we can get our exclusive 10.. wub.gif

i dono.. maybe its easier to say.. IMO.. his position is right.. just at the same level with others back 3.. but when he saw pedro make a run, and thru ball is coming, then he decide to chase pedro, when he know pedro is on side.. so nothing can be done.. and it is typical offside trap that 'trapped' by thru ball..

anyway.. the problem is shots is not important.. as only goals count.. no matter how many shot we get, but in the end, result is more important.. just like lyon match.. we have about 30+ shots if im not mistaken.. but.. we drew.. so, to me.. we can ague about the stats, but result is the most important..

And this is the hardest part..at Real Madrid, good result alone is not important as beautifully football must come together

by the way.. list of our future coach.. (again... doh.gif )

1. Jose Mourinho (Inter) nod.gif
2. Fabio Capello (England national team) 50-50
3. Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea), doh.gif
4. Luis Felipe Scolari (Bundyodkor) doh.gif
5. Rafa Benítez (Liverpool) doh.gif

IF, then want to axe mr pelligrini.. IMO, morinnho is the best candidate, IF he can replicate his chelsky performance to us.. if the winning is the most important thing than beautifully football, then.. whistling.gif he will be just like capello... doh.gif

Download and watch the match.. to me.. we played better than we played at our own ground.. some clear cut chances that saved by valdes and intercept by puyol.. and Mif im not mistaken, the MOTM was puyol.. defender and not attacker who scored the goal.. so u can judge by urself.. rolleyes.gif

We have a fixed style under Pellegrini. Problem has been finding the right formation and some of our players are like square pegs trying to fit into round holes. Currently the 4-3-1-2 suits us best but our midfield options need to improved before we can start imposing our game on every opponent.

I'm all for keeping Pellegrini but I also don't think a new coach would necessarily be a bad thing. Wasn't Pep a new coach as well last year?
Why should we let go of Benzema or Higuain? With Raul most probably leaving next season we don't have any other striking options. In fact we probably need to get another striker as backup. Maybe we will bring Negredo back.
*
Technically, pep is not totally new manager to barca, he was coaching barca B before promoted to senior team.. so, basically that give pep at least one year to know what is happening and to know barca to the root.

Bringing a new coach is nothing new to us as we kept repeating to do so for many years back, no matter we won the title or not.. so, IMO.. giving pelligrini a season chance is not a bad idea, or at least 6 month.. we played some attractive football and to me his tactic was correct for some of time but, players let him down.. for instance, match again LYON.

sacking pelligrini is not a forward step. In fact, two step backward. we have to start from the scratch. IMO the only thing that we have to improve and what pelligrini must do is.. play as a team.. that all..

Gap closer to 1 point.. Good 1st half performance.. but with bad finishing.. CR9 was too selfish last night.. i dono what he think.. doh.gif higuan wasted some chances as well, where he should buried it.. anyway.. we won..

2nd half.. we are more 'relax'.. maybe players get exhausted... we gave Valencia so much space n possession for them to do something.. to me.. not a solid performance.. may the best team win the titile.. thumbup.gif

That's bullcrap. If we win the title it means we have been the most consistent which means we were better throughout the course of the season. There's a saying: The league table doesn't lie. Why wouldn't you be proud of that? 10 years down the line ppl will only remember the winner. Barca have been hyped up to extremes this season but the fact is they have been crap in a number of league games as well.
*
No problem to me.. it's the way i look to something.. to me.. to be the best, u must beat the best. simple. just like Dato Lee Chong Wei, he is currently no 1 in the world, but keep on losing to Lin dan, so do u think he is the best? anyway, diff people may have diff opinion or the way of looking to something.. so chill.. thumbup.gif

Ok.. No issue here, icon_rolleyes.gif i know, winning is all about consistency.. consistently winning would assure u the title.. no doubt about that.. im just saying that, currently.. we are obviously 2nd best team in laliga behind barca and, IF we win the title.. im proud of team coz can win the title with the best barca team ever.. but, winning the title with losing both of clasicco is just not 'right'.. so to me.. if numbers could represent my level of proud..from 1 - 10.. i would choose 6.

what im trying to say is, absolute winning is more satisfying rather the condition i mentioned. simple isn't it. wink.gif

yup.. we are madridista.. so why fighting each other.. thumbup.gif Anyway.. back to match topic.. from the remaining games.. IMHO, barca would have slightly advantages than us. But, just like verx said.. anything can happen in football.. thumbup.gif

MW 34
Zaragoza VS R. Madrid
Barcelona VS Xerez

MW 35
R. Madrid VS Osasuna
Villarreal VS Barcelona

MW 36
Mallorca VS R. Madrid
Barcelona VS Tenerife

MW 37
R. Madrid VS Athletic
Sevilla VS Barcelona - too bad, sevilla is not as good as before doh.gif

MW 38
Málaga VS R. Madrid
Barcelona VS Valladolid

* red color - Potential dropping point match.

what u say guys.. hmm.gif.. indeed, all matches are improtant but, to me.. the most important match would be against Mallorca - Away.. hope we can win all remaining games to give barca a damn hard pressure all the way..

For teh lulz la bro,

United has won the league with being beaten by Citeh last year. Put Liverpool into the equation also.

Does that make Citeh > United?

or Liverpool > United?

Consistency is what defines a team's strength. Barca could win over you lots from time to time. Sure, it hurts your pride. Yet, it does hurt theirs when you are crowned champs. In the end, people won't remember much about the double on El Classico. People will keep on remember .. "Oh .. it was Real Madrid whom won the league in [insert year].."

My point is simple ..

Bragging rights in winning the league > bragging rights winning over your team.
*
Did u read all my previous post before posting? rolleyes.gif im just saying that satisfaction is more if we won in at least one of the clasicco. i bet, hell lot of your friend would said " alaa.. stakat menang liga tapi kalah ngan cleasea/liverpoll home and away wat per" rite? whistling.gif then u will answer.. "yang penting menang" doh.gif

It is more to self-satisfaction rather that winning is all that matter. I agree that history will not mention the best team every years, but people WILL remember the best team of the season... wink.gif
